I think TRU will stick around for a while. The company actually turns a profit if you omit the debt payments. Plus you can't repay debt if you've closed down.

 

That's a thought, but I think they'll reorganize and reopen.

That's why it's called bankruptcy so you can eliminate part if not most of your debt. There are company's out there that file bankruptcy then come out of protection and expand. Not really ethical in my book.

 

Just found a set I didn't know I needed until now. Brings back childhood memories!

I was on the fence for a long time about that set. Wish I had gotten it.

 

I wanted this set as well. I just haven't found an opportunity to buy it yet. I was focused on destroying my bank account with the Falcon.

 

I saw it in person yesterday. Impressive is not a good enough description, epic is more like it.
I bought the London Bus for MrsTaco.
So want that Falcon though...

 

Looks like ordering it online will be difficult for some time. However it appears lego stores are getting small streams of them.

 

Here's a small moc I found, just not quite the amount of detail. Could be had via a bricklink order way cheaper. Found a used set, no box or instructions for $40 on Bricklink today, not terrible but the set is only like 240 pieces.

 

So I looked up the set and remembered why I hadn't bought it. It's pretty pricey for 225 piece set. I'll add it to the watch list. If I can find it for $60 I'll jump.

 

Have you guys seen the new D2C batman movie set? Jokers Manor. I like the way it turned out. I'll have to add it to the end of the list.

 

The local store had 8 of them & sold them in 5min after opening.
They did not know when additional ones would be in.

 

You just need to be first in line with your kidney removed as tribute.

Stopped at the Lego store this evening. Mainly just to see the sets they had built in store including the Falcon. It is massive. I don't know where I'd ever be able to display something of that size. Most impressive!

Destiny's Bounty and the Ninjago City are awesome looking. They also had a lot of the Creator modulars built up. So much want, so little money.

 

I know the feeling. I bought the Falcon with little thought of where I could ultimately put it. I'll keep this in mind when buying my next house.

Also Ninjago city will be mine. Even as a stand alone set it's amazing. IKEA will be my friend for displaying all my sets.

I was eyeing the Ninjago City thinking about my current Ikea bookcase where some of my built sets are displayed. I don't think it will fit in the bookcase. The city is too deep.
