I love the Star Wars advents. I think the 2014 with Santa Vader is the best, unlike this years advent which I think is the worst.

I found an amazing deal on 7264 Imperial inspection. They'd had it labeled wrong in the item description but had the instruction manual pictured with the correct set number. The printed leg stormtroopers weren't in the photo (which are why the set is so expensive, they were only in this set) and sure enough they were there. I'm a very happy camper.

So if you enjoy Star Wars lego. Then pick this up. It's a great book to see all the Star Wars sets they've produced.

Like many of you I was huge into Legos when I was kid. Have bins and bins full of them in my parents attic.... anyways was shopping this AM for my nephews birthday gift and bought him a couple lego sets and snatched one for myself. After the party I came home sat down to watch the Irish play and put it together. Already looking around online for some of the stuff from I was a kid. Can't believe how much the castle sets are going for these days.

    Started my addiction.
Only sets I’ve built in the last years was a little mermaid and Cinderella castle for my daughters.
Took them to toys r us to build free bb8s and they had a 40% off coupon for at-st walker. Got that for me and these little sets for the girls. They built the little ones and have taken over the walker build.

Those little sets are a great deal for $3. Might have to grab more of those. Took my 5 year old 1.5 hours to do Poes Xwing. $3 well spent.

But I do have a question. What is the best way to know when these sets are on sale? I really just want to start with all Star Wars sets. All girls have is daughters. (4 of them ages 7 to 5 days old). Done the two older are into stat wars I’m gonna try keep it riding. Is there a site that will tell you whenever a set is in sale, etc. Or that has alerts?

I'm sure there is a good way, I just haven't found it yet. I use the brickset forums to get an idea what's on sale. Sometimes I'm able to get them in time, others it's already sold out.

It certainly helps that I don't have children. I get to be selfish all the time.

Do you have a local Lego store. Get on their mail/email list. Also if you start looking up Legos on your computer the cookies will start pulling up ads for you:rolleyes:(Big Brother?)

    Will do. Thanks.

Toys r us had some good sales. Last night for fun I put 15 sets I wanted in a cart. Total came out to $740ish. Said savings was $180.
Looked at it again this morning. Total was $800+ and savings were only $100. Dang. Sales changing all the time. Gonna have to pull trigger same day.

Black Friday is coming up. Amazon will have flash sales on older sets they need to move. So just watch out for them. Also eBay can be a good source at times.

I was looking at eBay last night, some OK, some were higher than Lego.com:notsure:
