Everything LEGO thread!

My kids and I built it, we took turns and it was a fun build. Just don't make any mistakes. We made a couple but caught them before moving to far on. Two things I didn't like are the stickers and the doors. I would like to get the Porsche next, maybe next year.

 

Porsche is a fun build, and takes a while to build. I really was hoping they would do more since they had the licensing figured out. I was able to visit Porsche in Stuttgart a couple years ago and building one was setup similar to their assembly line.

I have not bought a set in a while but I still have a couple of my bigger ones assembled.

 

I forgot to add here is a picture of the real deal from the Porsche museum (in green) though there was an orange cayman right in front of it.

 

He’s been kicking ass.


Also, I built the Las Vegas one. Tired of seeing the box unopened on the table...

 

Not yet... school happened.
I bet he’ll be finished by the end of the Week though.

Nice, it took us over a week to build it. A couple of hours here and there. And we all had to be present and help with it.

QUICK INQUIRY

I used to be a huge Lego kid back in the day. To my amazement I found out that my mom actually kept a lot of those sets in boxes (still assembled!) along with the instruction manuals. I currently don't have any pictures but they include a lot of the outer space collections, a few under water sets, a couple castles, plus maybe a few odds and ends that are all from the mid to late 90's era. A few of those space sets are complete as well. Not sure what current market value is on some of them or what type of condition they have to be in to be considered collectible but I wanted to run it by you brick enthusiasts. If I do end up selling them it might be tricky to ship but I'd love to see them go to some true collectors who would really appreciate them.

Some of the classic sets are valuable if completely intact. I have several of the classic space sets as illustrated earlier in this thread. Depending on what you have I’d certainly be interested in seeing.

 

I can make it a point to swing by my folks place and take some pics this afternoon. I have no idea when my mom placed them in storage but I was taking a trip down memory lane for a while after she told me. They're a little dusty... lol

that was cool to see. i didn't have any lego as a kid with all older sisters. and mostly parents just bought me a couple ninja turtles (we were poor and i didn't have many toys). but i can say, DANG, Lego sure has stepped up their game. those sets are awesome, but the detail in newer sets is quite impressive now that im seeing those pics of older sets. But i also enjoy the simplicity of those too. I imagine you can get some decent dollars for those sets. i doubt a ton more than they were originally worth, but i could be wrong too.
