DANG! When did you order yours that you already got it? Mine says it won't arrive until end of May...

If anyone is interested in the 42111 set, every website/store I could find starts selling it April 27, but Wal-Mart already has it online and in-store for the same price as LEGO.

And next to a very dusty Imperial Flagship



Time to build number two. Plans are to rebuild the interior of the ship to properly outfit it with Canon, then use the leftovers to expand on the island. Eventually I'll get more to build a super ship.

Also makes me want to dig out my old collection to rebuild the original Black Seas Barracuda and Imperial Flagship.

 

I finally watched the Star Wars Lego Master episode yesterday. Man, they are so talented and I am glad no one went home.

 

my wife was like “how do they even know where to start?” And she wishes there was a time-lapse of sorts of them actually building these things.

Agree. But would you really have sent home the married couple over the other ones? I do think that guy and girl stepped up their game HUGE from the start. But no way there’s was better than the married couples at at scene.
Can’t wait for finale. But also sad to see finale cause gonna be long time til another season.

 

I just noticed something while checking on my order status, on the Lego site (I know it's back ordered and email said end of May, but I wanted to check for shits and giggles anyway).

Looks like I'll be getting the Easter Bunny and Easter Egg as well. SCORE!

 

I saw these salt and pepper shakers online recently and thought they'd be perfect to add to my camping supplies!

 

But do they stack on each other?

 

They sure do! They aren't really a snug fit though like normal Lego.

wait, so did he throw the lego away originally when he "cleaned up"? or just some of the instructions? you can buy a lot of old booklets on the internet. either way, get what you're saying. if someone did anything to my collection, it would be frustrating.

 

None of the bricks were thrown out, but several years of work were dumped into a bucket with loose bricks poured over them. A few years later he threw out nearly all of the instructions.

Not healthy to dig into it, but thinking of certain sets I have and looking at usable replacements (not pristine) on Bricklink, I'm already looking at about $300. That doesn't cover everything that's missing.

There are greater problems in the world, but presently this is just incredibly irksome. What some people value is meaningless to others.

 

No better way to spend COVID time than going through watched threads on TW.

Not much anyone can do about the past than trying to understand it in a way that helps us move onward..

As for your instructions that are now available on .pdf, you could bring them to a Staples for printing in whatever style they have available. You might be surprised at what they can replicate.

I’ll intentionally pass on anything you said about you and your Dad.

Good Luck! The joy of Legos may fade from time to time but it never really goes away.

 

Posting was just a way to get it out and help move on. As I said, presently irritated but it will pass.

I probably won't replace them (save for a couple) or print off new ones. Maybe my brain's just weird, but it simply won't be the same.
