I was impressed with this little trip I took the other day. Didn't use cruise much. Very hilly rual Ohio backroad. (Rt. 50)
I also tromped it once from 55mph up to about 80 mph to blow the doors off a Colorado.

If it is hilly you certainly don't want to use cruise. Keep the tac under 2k even if it means losing speed.

When in doubt I won't impede traffic. I hate that more than anything, be it the person going too slow or the person speeding and weaving throughout traffic.

Hax a 600 mile day today, mixed roads from Durango to near Dodge City. First tank was good
...21.7 with two snowy passes and otherwise high speeds. Second tank dropped to 18.4 with straighter flatter roads at lower elevation. Gas out bere on the plains all has ethanol in it. At home we can avoid that...would this make that much difference?

Ethanol is supposed to have 2/3 the energy that traditional gas has in it. They can only put 10% ethanol in standard pumps. this means that 10% ethanol gas should have 96% the energy that traditional gas has. 21.7*96% = 20.832. Very rough numbers but there has to be something else causing that drop.

I would say that it is far more likely that you went from different gas blends or some other factor beyond simple ethanol.

I did, however fuelly doesn't have the 16 Tacoma on there yet so I had to enter model manually under "other"

No model info and no mpg, posted in an mpg thread. -100 points is your score.

Limited 4X4 on second tank. According to the truck display my tank average is 20.5 (city driving with quick jaunts on hwy). Seems to perform as advertised already.
