Anyone out there have 305's on their 2016 who can post mpg figures? I would also like the same for 285's. I have to make a decision really soon.

    Thanks in advance.

for all who dont know hwy mpgs are not at high speeds they are at constant normal driving speed without stop and gos for instance if you go 45 mph at about 1200 rpm without stopping you will get about 30 mpgs constantly but once your rmps go up your mpgs go down thats why gearing is so important in a transmission. the higher gears allow for higher mph at lower rpm. you must also consider conditions like wind speed and direction, if youre fighting the wind the whole time you will spend more gas. also mpgs are typically tested with one or two average weight adult males in the car and weight also has alot to do with it... 16 at 75 mph is actually not bad you're looking at about 2200-2700 rpms constantly i know you probably dont want to but slow down a bit and see how much it changes... also go into the radio apps and click eco it gives you a minute to minute mpg so you can see what you're doing at different speed/rpms. and just play with your speed to get a more neutral mpg rating

305 and 285 what all this does is gives us a width of 12 and 11.22 inches no tire diameter so this question is basically impossible to answer

You have a 3" lift and big tires and you thought the mudflaps might be hurting your mpg?

I don't know but man my 15 Tundra got that mpg. Crazy. I am a solid 6 mpg better in mine but again I am 85% hyw and 65 to 72 mph range. Heck I drove all city for 21 miles in my town not real long lights and not a lot of lights and averaged 19.2 on that 21 miles all city.

1200 miles on truck, (50% highway, 40% city, 10% offroad & hunting) -- averaging a little over 18MPG. Not really great. I have automatic trans.

Nice. Not many 2016 taco's running around Detroit, let alone one in quick sand color. I'm assuming you partake in the Woodward FB shenanigans?

Toyota's marketing dept really pulled one over one us. They underrated the i4 and hyped the v6's capabilities. Dramatically. By 20-30+%.

    Why?

Saying that the v6 gets better mpg than the i4 absolutely KILLED the demand on the less profitable i4 models. That's the #1 argument against the i4. How many times do we have to hear "well the v6 gets better mpg so why bother?". It's incorrect, but facts don't always affect perception. I have an order in on an i4 5spd 4x4 and i wouldn't trade that combo for the v6 6spd even if it only cost $1 more. For reasons far beyond, but including, mpg.

Personally don't see the perceived or realized gain in MPGs (or otherwise) for the i4 being significant enough to warrant the lack of capability of the V6 in other areas.

The trucks with V6 and I4 got what Toyota says they got in their mpg tests. No one " had one pulled over on them".

Oh I can't argue that the v6 is more capable.... the argument then becomes do you need that capability?
We live in a society where everyone's convinced they need all the options, all the towing, all the testosterone possible.
For what I do, namely without having to ever tow things, I have no need in the v6. None.
I'll be fine with the power. 270hp v6 in a 3600+lb truck is a joke anyway if your argument is performance.
