im in Oklahoma do run some hills not major but some. Little valley town I live in and commute daily and I am getting over 21.4 average. That is with 10% ethanol. This is mixed 80/20.

Ethanol free gas would give you better gas mileage. I have not checked if Utah has Ethanol free gas.

We live 5 minutes from a boat ramp for the gulf in Florida so a lot of the stations around here have it and I'm only paying 18-24 cents more per gallon. I don't run it so much for a mpg improvement as I do to keep the fuel system and injectors a little bit cleaner. I understand all these new trucks are designed to run gas containing ethanol but if you have any experience with the adverse effects of ethanol you know that if you can stay away from it in any way possible you do it.

About 3200 miles and 12 fill-ups in and haven't seen this mythical break-in mileage increase. The slightly higher blips in my case are more likely attributed to a bit more highway than city driving and decent weather.

Just got off s 2500 mile trip and my average was around 21.5mpg. Went from central GA to Western MA and back with a trip to TN in the middle. 28eb569298671871c3b7f9e8ea6df2be_bd536878c1716727e9e510d43810e92f4a53cfa9.jpg

Nice run for data. Good numbers. I'm going to speculate you stayed under 65mph, and stayed in DRIVE ,without using ECT. The way we should drive.

We should stay under 65? I typically drive the speed limit and/or go with the flow of traffic.

I'm not insinuating anything. I was merely guessing based on your MPG reported, and otherwise lack of info. Maybe you were going 40... or 85mph. Most of the time mileage suffers at higher speeds. Most of the time

Actually about 95% of this is highway over 70 mph. I found that if you keep the cruise on only on flats and don't let it over shift on hills it does much better. I can get up a hill in 5th at the same speed the cruise drops to 4th. And it's better on the mpg.
