Yeah, I only had 300 miles when I switched wheels and tires so hopefully your tranny will do some more "learning" too, good luck, man.

BTW... I'm running Fuel 17x9's at 32 lbs each and Open Country 285/70/17's at 62 lbs each... maybe your setup weighs even more than that.

All this makes me wonder if these "learning" transmissions will keep self-adjusting indefinitely or is there a point where you're stuck with what you got?

It does? Not in my experience. This is my economy tracked since delivery. No significant change.

I'm over 6k miles. Have also tried high octane to see if it made a difference for about 3 tanks in February. No change.

I have the same about 19-20mpg and holding in that area.

How people are getting 25+ is beyond me lol. The truck isn't even rated for 25+

I drive speed limit 65 and not fast at all. Mixture of highway and streets almost equal

20 combined is exactly what it's rated at on the sticker I think.

This or you can calculate it on your own. I've been using Fuelly for the last few years and input everything through the app. I don't even look at the data shown on my truck because I've found that info to be inaccurate in previous vehicles.

Best way to check is between fill-ups and don't top off the tank; stop as soon as the pump stops on it's own. I've found that filling up from 1/4 tank or less yields better mpg's. I used to fill up at half tank but calculated mpg's were less than compared to filling up from below 1/2.

Because people are coasting down the highway at 55mph on a flat open road or driving down in elevation and then taking a snapshot after 20 to 50 miles of that type of driving

No! I don't need no stinkin 4x4 in florida. It's just extra weight and equipment that brings your mileage down. I drive all highway anyway to and from work. Also I don't drive like an idiot that has to be there now! I drive the posted speed limit and don't jackrabbit from the stop light either.

Full discosure here, I work at saving gas. It's not so bad since we started pumping USA oil again, but I hate paying for bombs to blow up our kids with Middle East oil.

Bought my '16 White 4dr OR 4X4 on August 15th. Been averaging 19.7 mpg. My daily round trip commute is 110 miles and 104 of it is highway driving, cruising at 70-75.
Still waiting to see if it'll go over the 20 mark. Maybe when I buy a tarp for the bed?

I use an app on my phone where I enter the data (miles and amount of gas filled per each fill up)

I have a V6 SR5 4x2 and after the first three refills, I average between 19-20 mpg. I rarely go on the highway, I'm almost always in city and I drive like a snail.

21+ mostly rural driving. So I'm in ideal mph range a lot. Manual transmission.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
Give it some time to learn your driving habits. I got 17.5 - 18.5 first 2-3 tanks, not getting 21.3 - 22.3 consistently.

Went on a little road trip on Saturday of a distance of approximately 170 miles, mostly freeway and behaving at 65mph with cruise on which got me 24.2mpg. I came back same day and when I pulled in my driveway I had a quarter of a tank left.

So how many miles are you people getting out of a tank of gas?

I'm going to be close to getting 400 miles on this tank after the TSB update on the transmission.

My truck was averaging 21-22 mpg on my commute of just over 20 miles each way. Got a new job and my new commute is only .6 miles each way, and I am now getting 15 mpg. Of course I couldn't care less, because I am using such a small amount of gas no matter how you look at it.

    Love the truck.
