I like the second set of pic's, is everything you mention used to make it like the second set of pic's?

Yessir. But I highly discourage you from using the one piece housings. They're garbage. Not sure how the effect would look on the regular 2 piece units.. Plus, not sure if you're into the backglow effect. But if so, I used ccfls(for a more subtle "glow"), which trs no longer offers. Led halos may be too bright. You could probly achieve the same look with some resistors on the led halos though(which I have no experience with).

How does one separate the DRL signal from the headlights?

There's a control box underneath the steering wheel, just cut the wire.

Can those 2 wires be routed to the halo's or LED DRL's?

I'm not sure if you're getting DRL (daytime running lights) confused with the parking lights or not...

The DRL function keeps the headlights themselves on low beams during the day - people typically find this useless in most scenarios so we disable the function.

The parking lights are your corner lights that come on when switched on the 1st option of the turn signal stalk.

Are you trying to go for like a Beamer/audi look? Cause this is how my halos are set up through the parking lights:

No, I'm talking about the DRL's. I wanted to see if they can be separated from the headlights so I can either use the halos as DRL's and HID for the main headlights.

In a perfect world we could have that. However that would be too much wiring.
You're better off tapping into the parking lights. It'll work the same as I pictured above ^
In addition you can also choose if you want to turn the halos on/off on the fly.

I start my truck with the parking lights on therefore the halos by themselves automatically come on without the headlights. When it's nighttime switch it one more to turn the headlights on - however the halos will still be on.

I wired my dual switchback halos to a switch so I could turn them on or off and that way I wouldn't have to worry about them being on all the time when the marker lights were on or the projectors. Works great. Then they're also wired to the blinkers and both halos blink whenever I turn.
In the past, on my other set of retrofits, the RGB Halos were wired to the marker lights but those halos had a remote that you could turn them on & off with too. So they didn't depend on just the marker lights either, but you could still get your 12v power from them.

Also a good idea to keep in mind!

Personally I just hate adding more switches. I have dual halos with switchbacks in the rear wired to both the parking and turn signals. And the front halos are just parking lights.

I just used the Rigid brand switch I already had mounted for my 42" light bar above my windshield I took off and sold along with the Eazy company Toyota mounts.

Why didn't you like the one piece housing? Installation or quality of the product?

Do you have pictures where your lights are actually on and not just the evil eye?

This was recently, not the best pic but I could get one shortly.

From a distance the projectors are too powerful to show the halos, if you're not in its intended angle you can see the rear halo that I use as a turn signal.
