Just got these baby’s installed yesterday. Traded a guy on here for some welding work! Only about 10,000 miles on them and they still look aggressive AF.
Dick Cepek trail country exp. should be a big step up from the stock adventure kevlars to say the least.

Just my opinion after running both the 17” TRD pro wheels, 2020 Tacoma pro wheels and 2019 Tacoma pro wheels. I personally like the Tacoma pro wheels better for a couple reasons. The matte finish on the 4runner wheels is super finicky and I had a horrible time ceramic coating them and keeping them clean due to the block design. They are about 25lbs and offset 4-5mm so do kick the tire out more then your current setup. However, I also didn’t personally like the 17” wheel on stock suspension as it took away from tire sidewall and I always have liked more tire and less wheel. The pull to go to the 17” wheel is there are a ton more choices for tires in SL and C rated which brings down the weight of the tire and supposedly helps prevent rob of power due to rolling weight which gives a smoother ride not being E rated.

Your Tacoma pro wheels are some of the lightest wheels 21.5 lbs or so. They are offset 12-13mm so have a great stance as is. You still have options running the 16” wheel in a SL tire with the Falken Wildpeak (42lbs), Goodyear duratrac (C load), toyo at3, etc. but I really like my BFG KO2 E rated. Lots of choices, but I think keep it simple. Get a tire for your stock pro wheels as they are great lightweight wheels and don’t look back

You certainly know your stuff and the information is REALLY appreciated... I have decided to stay with the original rims (16"). My next debate is do I go with 265-75-16 or 275-75-16??

If I were you, I'd drive the truck for a few months and get a feel for how it is equipped from the factory. Determine what type of fuel economy your truck is currently getting for your commute and if you would be willing to sacrifice that and to what additional cost you would be willing to forego.

Will you be driving off-road and/or just wanting a different tire for appearance? Find out if the existing tires are capable for what you intend to do with the vehicle off-road.

Some have a wheelset for commuting and then another wheelset for more difficult off-road use or even winter use, dependent on where you live in the nation.

Anytime you go to a larger diameter, more tire/wheel weight and less rolling resistance you will loose some MPGs along with acceleration/braking impacts. Also extremely heavy wheel/tire combos impact the stock suspension capabilities since they are not tuned for the extra weight.

The 2020 Pro, which you own, received revised dampening rates for the Fox shocks due to the revised Pro wheels that are now lighter..

Good luck finding any tires in a 275/75R16....virtually nonexistent. If you find any, please post what they are.
Stay with your TRD Pro wheels that came with your vehicle and go up one size from stock and get 265/75R16 like many have said here on this post. It’ll look great, drive great, no rubbing, no cutting the frame up, etc. etc. etc. When you get those on, you’ll be happy you listened to the good advice on this thread and your truck will retain all of the great suspension aspects that you paid for with getting a TRD Pro.

Does anyone have TufSkins Mud Flaps with a 0 offset 265/75r16? I want to know if the mud flaps would rub with a 265/75r16

New guy question here, but is anyone running 265/75r16s with a winch/slimline style bumper on stock suspension? Is that too much weight (ie, causing rubbing)? Anyone that is running a winch, bumper, sliders etc. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I don’t have this setup but have been doing a ton of research the last few weeks and it seems like the most common rubbing is with mudflaps with this setup

HOW DO YOU RUN YOUR E LOAD TIRES?

Sorry, didn’t mean to raise my voice. I have these tires on FJ TRD rims, 2018 OR with factory bilsteins, and my rear end bounces all over the place. I’ve run them at 35psi, up to 60, currently at 52.

I’ve hit bumps, mid turn before and fishtailed on the highway.

I’d greatly appreciate help on where to run these.

This is why I refuse to run E load rated tires on anything other than a 3/4 or larger truck. Do the chalk test to see where they need to be on your truck, but at 52 PSI you’ll wear out the center tread prematurely. I’m thinking you’ll end up down under 30 PSI, maybe lower.

Hey man sorry for the trouble you’ve had with your tires. Currently I’m at 30 at all corners on my 265/75/16 BFGs. I still have not run the chalk test but I can tell you that it is really close to the correct PSI. I do have a camper shell which is the reason why people will tell you to do the chalk test. Every truck weighs a little differently. Try bringing them down to 30 and see how it goes. I still average 20.2 mixed mpg and on road trips about 22-23 so hasn’t affected mpg that much as long as your foot is light
