Curious how accurate everyone's speedo/mpg/odometer has been after moving up to 265/75/16. I'm guessing it's little to no difference. Thinking about KO2s for my 2021 offroad with stock wheels.

Did you add a tune or regear or anything? Those being 10ply I'm curious how power and mileage got affected? Great looking truck

My speedo seems to be more accurate with the bump up in size.

    Nothing major yet.
I don’t have 265/75r16’s on my 2022 yet, but I believe it’s just a 2-3% difference which isn’t really significant. At 70 you would probably be doing around 72, but from factory the speedometer is rumored to be a little off in the opposite direction, so it might be more true than stock.

Thanks! Nope I didn’t do a thing. It’s my daily driver. Drives great and it’ll run 80 on the interstate at an acceptable RPM. So acceptable I don’t even know what it is because it feels good at that speed. Mileage isn’t great but it’s not horrible. With the lift and the rack I kind of gave up on caring about mileage a while ago.

I would trust the tire calc math on the forum tool before I would put value in anecdotal feedback.
That said, just swapped my stockies for the wildpeaks in 265 75 R16 and cant notice a difference but likely am running slightly faster than Spedo as per the calc

???????????? I wouldn't trust that tire size and resulting numbers.

    upload_2022-1-15_10-51-13.jpg

Further, if you think every 265/75-16 tire from all manufactures will have identical specs, you are in for a big surprise.

With my 265/75-16 Michelin tires and a Garmin XT GPS I've found the speedometer reading is now accurately depicting the speed of travel.

In addition, over several 100 mile tests, I found that the actual distance
traveled is 2.9% further than what the odometer displays. 100 mile displayed on odometer and GPS indicated 102.9 miles.

The MPG function will be off also. If you calculate the MPG based on gallons used and actual distance traveled, the MPG will be better than the MPG function has displayed.

When I went to 265/75/16 it corrected my speedo. When I drive by the radar activated roadside indicators its on the money now. Before they would show about 2 to 3mph lower then what my speedo said. Typical for OEM speedos in my experience with different cars.

Pretty obvious typo but I suspect you already knew that before you used it as a reason to get on your soap box.
I also checked via my garmin and surprise .... the math is accurate in the tool.

Somewhere enroute from highway 550 towards Lake City via the San Juan Jeep Trails. If I remember correctly it was at the top of CorkScrew gulch headed towards Cinnamon Pass.

Here are a few more of the drive, all the route was done with Michelin Defender LTX tires aired down to 14 psi.

I'll step back up on the soap box you left and ask how much was your odometer off?

Again, my point was that not all 265/75-16 tires have the same specs and the generic chart you reference is not representative of every 265/75-16 nor 265/70-16. Every manufacture
has slightly different specs. Some run wider, taller, weigh more, have less rolling resistance and after 75% wear measure differently than new.

And why did you not just post your Garmin GPS results for all the speeds and odometer results if you really used it like I did when I posted my results?

Also, with my Garmin XT, my Taco speedometer reads exactly the same result as the GPS for 70 mph. This is not what your chart shows that you posted nor what your so-called GPS comparison produced. Maybe the tires we are comparing, although both sized at 265/75-16, have different results?

Any reason you run 265/75's vs 70's?

Wanted to go up one size above stock size that would look a bit better with a suspension lift.

I trust that tool, I just prefer to back up the math with some real world experience. This seems to be a good place for that.
