Question for those of you with the HC bumper & @traxman25 .

Thinking about getting one, but have a couple of questions. I’ve read through the installation instructions and didn’t see this covered there, but if it is I apologize.

What is your solution for keeping the bedside fender stable and keep it from flapping around after cutting the bedside? Below is a picture of what CBI does. Do you supply something like this or is it up to the customer the fabricate?

    15D35157-CFBB-4FF6-ABEB-6F831C3C4BE6.jpg 83859154-6A7C-4FEF-B623-B8AD0EF1DCF6.jpg

Alongside that question - do you cut this piece of the fender liner off or do something similar as below?

    Thanks!

We don't have that bracket. You could zip tie the inner fender skirt or cut if off, either is fine and up to your choice.

Done deal. Start to finish 3 hours that's removing my current bumper, wiring it up and bolting in the new one.

Went smooth, I love the slots for adjustability and ease of install.

Very excited and bumper looks amazing in person adam great job!

I installed all stainless steel hardware, I also have a curt trailer plug I had adam modify it to accept and it fits great and i was able to install on the inside for a cleaner look @traxman25

Hoping to get yalls rear bumper with tire Swingout in the near future for my third gen. Don't see many photos out there of it on third gens not sure why though it seems to be a great product! Also was just in Wisconsin visiting my fiancé's family, really beautiful state. Snowed a little bit last day we were there and was 90 back home in Alabama!

Anyone know if the Rotopax mount is interchangeable with the double Jerry can mount? I’m deciding to go away from the Rotopax and hoping they are all plug and play.

Yes the Rotopax plate and Double Jerry Can Mount share the same bolt pattern so they are easily interchangeable like that.

FYI for anyone looking to go Single to Double Jerry Can Mount unfortunately we were not able to keep the side bolts the same pattern as the back bolts on the double so those are different. The two patterns don't interfere with each other so it isn't too difficult to drill and tap new holes though.

Finally painted and installed my bumper. Excellent quality, perfect overall fit, easy install, looks great - stoked on the entire thing! The stock bumper feels so cheesy compared to this thing.

The only issue I had was that the factory trailer wiring harness didn't quite fit... on my 2015 Taco the harness had an "L"-shaped plastic cover from plug receptacle to wiring loom, and that plastic cover interfered with the square reinforcing tube inside the bumper. I simply removed the cover, used a razor to trim the plug receptacle slightly for a better fit, mud/water-proofed the wiring with plastic and electrical tape, and bolted it in there. Completely acceptable to me, aftermarket parts are going to have differences from the factory ones.

    Definitely recommend. Thanks Adam!

Received mine maybe about two months ago and had it painted body color to match. The body shop owner said that it was one of the most well built rear bumpers that he had seen. After my truck being rear ended twice, the next person to do so again will really regret it!

Just put it on! Only issue I ran into is the spring pin by the hinge was too close so I couldn’t turn the nut to tighten it. I ended up just grinding the points down so I could turn it.

I finished up the bumper install last night. Install was straight forward and the tolerances were tight. _DSC2330.jpg _DSC2357.jpg _DSC2324.jpg

Can you post pics of the hilift mounting points? I used their diy swing out kit as well but I built my table section and still need to add my hilift points
