Then how do you explain that the OEM bumper fits nice and I'll say square with the bed? I'll take the time and put together some pictures. I'll try and post them 7/22/2022 as we are about to leave for a dance today.

Here's the pictures. Besides the trouble with the installation, I think it is a well-made bumper.

This first picture is of the finished installation. Note how visually appealing it is to the eye. The distances from the bumper to the truck bed and tail-light are nearly even. It's not perfect but it is pleasing to the eye.
    upload_2022-7-22_12-9-36.jpg

The second picture is where I put the spacer, a .134 inch thick washer. It could have been about .140 inch thick, but it's all I could find. Note the gap between the truck frame and the bottom mount.
    upload_2022-7-22_12-12-55.jpg

The third picture shows the amount of grinding I did to the farthest slotted hole. The other two holes are also ground so I could fit the bolts in just not as much.
    upload_2022-7-22_12-15-47.jpg

I have to admit, I did box the frame in by adding an 11 gauge plate to the inside of the open area, but I don't believe stitch welding a plate in would have a vertical effect on the frame. Now if I would have welded on the verticle surface of the frame I could see it. I have done that before on a trailer frame with not to satisfying result to the finished appearance. To fix it, I just add a weld in the opposite direction and the frame straightened itself out.
Like I said before, I would not think having the bumper galvanized would have an effect on the final bumper assembly.
It would be nice to see the CAD mock-up.

I color-matched the paint for my HC bumper. The scariest part was cutting the fenders.

I've had the bumper for about a year now. It has been great!

I just spend about half hour with @traxman25 and ordered my dual swing out bumper. I cannot wait to have this on the truck. This is the final step on getting that rear protection that could have save me some of the damage I got on last few trips. Will post some pictures once I get it on the truck

Planing on driving up to WI next week to get my HC bumper. Is a 10 hours drive for me, but worth it. I don’t have the courage to cut the truck so Adam will give me a hand with that. I cannot wait to have it mounted on the truck

Hopefully this bomb cyclone doesn’t make traveling there too difficult

It was great. It was a long drive, but I was on vacation anyways so I just packed the truck with my kids and drove there. Spend almost 2 days with Adam and his crew and got the truck cut and the bumper fitted. Then drove back. I just got primer and some paint. The plan is to pint it this weekend and install it if I have time. Bumper has a lot of details and options they will explain better once is installed

That was cool of them to help you out with that! The few times I have talked with Adam he was really helpful.

Are those some Yokohama pizza cutters on steelies? Looks great! I'm running some 255's on 3rd gen TRD OR wheels.

My buddy got the HC bumper and I went with the normal one, both with optioned out carriers. We had them powder coated before installing them. The place that did the coating didn't mask off all the holes and the install was a PITA. It took a full day to install just my friends bumper, in my driveway. Then the next day we installed mine and both tire carriers.

Yes those are Yokohamas on steelies. 255/85R16. Best tire combination i have tried. I got primer and some acrylic paint today. Will start cleaning the bumper tomorrow and get it ready for paint. I decided to stay away from powder coating so I can touch it up with spray can when it gets hit on trails

Bumper has been painted. But I had to go out of town for work. I will post some pictures once I get back. I painted my self at the workshop and I think it turned great. Lots of prep time but I love doing that kind of stuff

Looks great! I need all this rain to stop so I can sand down and repaint my 4X sliders. After 3 years of use, the sliders are great, my paint job tho, looking like do do lol.

Bumper installed. I am incredibly happy and impress with the work and craftsmanship of this bumper. The quality, attention to detail and thoughtfulness that these guys put on their work is just unreal. Thats not including the attention we receive while we visited them. Really amazing people. Thanks @traxman25 for everything you guys do. Unfortunately we are having some bad weather so swings ours will have to wait. But I will get some more pictures in few days when is all done

Can the standard bumper be purchased without the trailer plug cutout? There is a option for not having the highlift cutouts.

Is there a Tacoma world discount code or any discounts going on?

The bumpers we have cut already have the cutout in them. We could weld the blank back in which may have slight blemish when painted. Otherwise we could cut a custom one in our next batch. I don't know a lead time for when the next batch will be run at this point. It could be a month or several months, it just depends how fast the currently assembled ones sell.

I believe welding in a blank would be fine. I'm planning on having it powder coated anyways. It's gonna be a couple months before I'm ready to order.

Rear bumper fully installed. Got swing outs on and everything is working great. Just have to finish my jerry can basket and Maxtrax mounts. I love the way the tuck looks now. Plus the ride is a lot smoother with the extra weight. I have some new OME rear shocks coming and the extra leafs to conver the leaf pack from medium to heavy duty.

Thanks for sharing these photos -- they're the first I've come across that show the internal structure & reinforcement of the HC bumper.
Did you fabricate & add the rub rails yourself, or was 4xInnov able to do that as a custom option at time of ordering?

I have a bit of concern that the side/fender portion of the bumper might get bent inwards in a collision due to lack of reinforcement. Is there space / clearance under the truck to add a DIY tube or plate brace along the yellow line I drew on the photo?
