When I was homeless I spent a month sleeping in the back off my access cab. It isn't that bad back there if you have some sort of pillow and blanket to make the seats when folded flat a little softer.

The biggest reason why I bought an access cab was because the standard cab isn't available in Canada.

Now that I have the Access Cab, I'm glad that I do for the reasons you mentioned.

Plus. It just plain looks better sailing down the road.

If I had a camera back then I would have pawned it....

I can take pics of how to set it up as an impromptu bed if you would like.

it works great for me, my 2 year old is still in a car seat obviously, so its a little tight, but my wife is short and can ride shot gun for a while. the car seat fits ok, but the front seat has to be almost all the way forward, in order for the little guy to have some leg room. we won/'t be taking many long trips with it, but it was not bought to be a family ride.

If you're gonna carry more than two human beings, just go ahead and spring for the double cab.

    2 Pages and no pictures?!

Every access cab owner who views this now has a weekend homework assignment. By this time next tuesday I better get a picture of your access cab in use!

So get your dogs, wives, children, work or camping gear in the back of your truck and snap a picture. Thank you very much. :proposetoast:

The seats are down all the time in mine. We got a foam dog bed specifically to put back there for the pup. She's got a dog harness that we clip into the chid seat anchors. Going camping tomorrow through the weekend, so I'll try to get a pic.

Why don't you just go to a dealer with some shit, and put it in the access cab? :D

I mean it's not a hard choice. Do you need to seat 4 on a regular basis? If yes, get a double cab. Done! :)

I went access cab because I'm a single guy, and it's usually only me and maybe one passenger. I still have room to put stuff to take to work, or whatever, without having to hassle with the bed. The seats recline - new regular cabs don't have bucket seats, and I think the bench is uncomfortable as hell. Also, when I drive to lunch from the office, I can still squeeze in 3 people pretty comfortably, and 4 people if necessary.

In short, do not buy the AC for regular people moving. This will be a mistake.

Buy the AC if you want extra room, more comfortable seats for the first two passengers, and occasionally might need to seat 4 in a pinch.

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
I once had nine people in my 94" access cab, and no suicide doors. My 09" is great, except for that stupid rear center console. Cant put anything straight across the rear seats.

I have a 1997 Access Cab 4x4 with 6" & 35's. Awsum truck but the cab is ok for two ONLY.
I just bought an 05 Access Cab TRD 4x4 & plan to lift 6" to fit the 33 Toyo MT's that I got a sweet deal on. (I don't think they will fit with any of the 3 " kits
I bought the Access cab for a couple reasons
    1) I need the long box for hauling stuff (quad, dirt bike, fire wood, Elk, etc. etc.) & the Crew long box is too long for off road terrain, turns, dips etc.
    2) the Gen 2 AC is big enough to carry 4 IF you have to (the wife has a crew short box TRD)
