Get Barcelona Red and don’t look back.
The Taco doesn’t come in 202 Black anymore it’s now some metallic black like the wife’s 4runner. Shit looks good clean, for a whole 5 mins.

I see you have the 19 I think they all come with the stupid TSS in front grill. Did you have any issue with TSS with that lift?

Exactly like that. I would do this on purpose.

Didn't know that - it will be a metallic black.

that is a mean looking truck all dirtied up, i look forward to seeing it up close on one of the future St.Louis mod days!
shellshock led my old black truck down some thick Wisconsin forest road and got scratched real bad like never before, so I shall have to see about buffing all that out and investigating what the ceramic coating can do for it.

    ....

I had a bright blue metallic truck for a couple years in the mid 90s before I got this one. I don't recall after nearly 1/4 century how difficult that blue one was to keep clean from muddy jobsites or winter roadspray/snowmelt and other ick
but that blue metallic paint really sparkled in the sun but the color was discontinued so got the next best color, the other trucks for sale on the lot at the same time were white and green and did not really stand out iirc (and they were also AT so a no go for me lol)

it looks like i made a good choice to powdercoat some salvage wheels for the winter (they were matched to my charcoal side decals)
I am still undecided on how to refinish the center caps, sand and black, then paint the middle emblem red?
anybody, give me some input !!

Saw something a while ago about heating up the plastic center caps slowly and manually with a heat gun and using the same powder coating that was used on the wheels. I’ll try and dig it up and shoot you the info.

i picked up some very fine grit sandpaper and as long as it has loose pieces of coating it sands right off very easily, i have not tried the areas yet where it is not loose so a heat gun may make it quicker to get the old coating off to make a smoother surface for a new finish.

He's saying powder coat the emblem red, using a heat gun to melt the powder coat.
