@Rat_Bastard Would you mind telling me where you found that camo print film you used for paint protection? I've been looking for an alternative to a full wrap since I'm only concerned about trail pinstriping. I searched through your build thread before asking, but the PPF must be new! That's a beautiful truck!

I just noticed the black trucks do not come with the flat black vinyl on the "B" Pillars that all other options come with... Pretty neat

Looks good. You do 6112s? What settings you on and how you liking the ride? Have some in my garage I need to get installed. Assuming you had to do a CMC with that offset and wheel size?

Yes 6112/ 5100. Not sure what setting it’s on, I’ll look later today. I had a local off road shop install it. Ride is great, better than stock imo. No CMC. No rubbing. I did install SPC UCAs so that helped eliminate rubbing.

Big ones are King suspension, SSO bumper w/winch, Pelfreybuilt sliders.
Hardest color to keep clean, but in the words of my old muscle car loving neighbor. If you wanna be cool, you gotta put in the work lol.

I drove a black Jeep XJ 4x4 for 25 years. When it came time to finally get a new truck, I wanted a black Tacoma so bad.

That’s my color. Dealership had a black TRD Pro in the showroom.

First Tacoma I ever sat it. My heart was racing so bad.

But I paused and wanted to have a different color so I got a silver Tacoma.

But that Black TRD Pro in the showroom will always be the “Baby Girl” who got away.

I still dream of myself in that Black Beauty.

    Working on it ...
My first new truck was a black 1988 Toyota pick up - before they started to number the GENs. Six cylinder manual transmission. It was a beautiful truck with rollbar and KC lights on the bar and nice wheels. People used to tell me it looked like “Art“. I love that truck and drove it till almost had 200,000 miles on it. The thing ran almost as good as the day I drove it off the dealers lot. The only reason I had to get rid of it is the bed look like Swiss cheese. So much rot but yet the cab was still perfect.

I had two Tacoma‘s in between a red and a silver TRD off-road. Fast forward to December 28, 2019 and now I went back to a brand new black Tacoma.

Black is beautiful when it’s clean, but man it is a bitch to keep clean.

But I guess it’s true what they say, “once you go black you always come back” :D
