Old one to quote, and hope I got the right pic, but why is your grill blue, and how do I do that?

I have DD LED Strip lights installed in the grill cavity. They are hooked up to a DD BT Controller. Them and the LED Lights in the wheel wells and under the doors are all controlled with the interior lights. the 3 circuits, grill, wheel and door are all separate so I can pick and chose which ones I want on or off. Not to mention I can turn each one on without the truck running.

Right now I'm waiting on DD Stage RGBW LED Rock lights to get to me. Once I get them and installed and we get some better weather here I'll post new pictures.

Nuthin' fancy, just upgraded wheels & tires.
Will add factory Predator side steps & hard tonneau cover in a few weeks.
Plan to add fog lights & bed lights as well.

If your OCD about having your truck clean, I would stay away from black. Definitely stay away from soft touch car washes, those will leave swirl marks like crazy. However, when its clean and detailed, black looks the best IMO. Only reason I went with black, it was the only one on the lot at the time, this was early 2016. For the most part I don't regret it, but I don't think I would buy another black vehicle again.

Like a hot chick it’s ultra high maintenance, whether it’s worth the effort …well that’s subjective. My next full size rig (Tundra or Raptor) will also be black so it’s worth it to me.
I’ll be the first to admit swirls, scratches & dents show like pimples on a teenager! But when it’s clean it’s a 12…to me!

Some updates to my Black Taco:

    Bushwacker Fender Flares
    Front Window Tint
    AVS Window Guards

EDIT: I'm learning that black vehicles attract all kinds of particles...especially in Spring with all the pollen.

Luckily it rained hard yesterday and washed most of the pollen off. This photo is from March 22, the day I got my front window tint.

The whole discussion about whether a black truck requires more maintenance seems odd to me.

I'm tempted to ask the folks who buy a "Lunar Rock" or "Cement" vehicle because it's the same colour as road dust, so you don't have to wash it so often: "Do you also buy brown underwear?"

On a related topic, I washed my truck and my wife's in the sun early this afternoon...right now it's pounding rain, and we have 2-4 cm of snow predicted by morning.IMG_7381.jpg

    Yes. 235/85/16.

Waiting (impatiently) for my dealer to receive three more Toyo MT in 255/85/16, from Saskatchewan of all places.
Apparently Toyo Canada is very short in that size out west...as in I'm getting the last three the dealer could find in their network.
Those will be the new "3-season" shoes and the M-55s will be moved to older wheels and serve as the winters.

This might be as good a thread as any to ask if anyone has painted (black of course) the 2nd gen off-road wheels? [IMG]

The first couple trail scratches sting like your first heartbreak, but after that you get used to it
