looks awesome, I saw that you put on 285/75/16, how did they fit, any lift or did the wheel offset allow for it?

The tires are great. The dill rod at discount tire snapped off one of my TPMS now I have to go back and get a new one cuz they didn't have the 2016 one in stock. I'm gonna try dipping the rims black with the gloss coat for fun.

I had a leveling kit put on that raised the front about 2.25 inches and rear about 1 inch. Tires fit fine with no rubbing. I was even able to keep the mudflaps on with no problem. The front air dam I removed prior to installing tires but I may try and see if it clears as well. I think it might.

wow, that's great, so the factory mudflaps front and rear fit?
If you don't mind me asking what lift kit did you go with?
Also, what wheel size/offset are those? 16x7.5 or 16x8, for some reason I see both listed in different places for those style wheels

Also, how bad did affect drive ability of the truck?
did you need different TPMS or lugs to go with those rims?

    thanks,
    Mike

Mud flaps fit fine. Leveling kit is a ready lift brand. Dont know model # I just turned it over to shop working on it. (Davis Offroad) This is their area of expertise.
Wheel specs can be found here:
    http://trdparts4u.toyotaofdallas.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=-10180
They are 16 X 7.5 and did require different style lugnuts (The conical seat vs. regular)
I purchased all new TPMS sensors instead of re-using original ones as I didnt want to have to break down original set in case I wanted to switch back in the future.
The TPMS that I purchased synced up automatically when installed, so no new programming needed.
I purchased wheels, lugnuts and TPMS sensors from Camelback Toyota at a great price with FREE SHIPPING! The internet guy Brian or Ryan I think is great to work with. Very helpful.
As far as ride goes, I havent really noticed any major differences. At this point I only have about 40 miles on new set and about 1000 on originals. The truck was sluggish from the get go unless you really put your foot into it and I havent noticed any real change since I added bigger tires.
I say the truck is sluggish due to my comparison with my 2nd gen 4.0 which seemed to have more get up and go.

I removed them all, and swapped the OR grill for the sr5. I'm all for the simple clean look

Change the name because the name of another color thread is making you jealous? This thread is still dedicated to Black 3rd Gen Tacomas.
