Just picked up this Black TRD Sport 4x4 on Thursday, ordered on 9/5, built 9/21. I am loving it so far. The only thing I am looking to change are the tires, these Firestone Destination LE2's need to go. I have settled on some Cooper Discoverer AT/3's, but I am undecided on size. To Me it looks like the 265/70r17 size would fill the wheel wells a little better. What does TW think?

Thanks, Checkered Flag was great to deal with. Although right after I took these pics I removed their free advertising sticker and license plate frames.

I plan on doing the same thing. When did yours arrive, and when was the estimated arrival? I'm trying to get an idea if they are coming in ahead of the schedule? Hope so!

Estimated arrival was 10/10 - 10/15, so it arrived at the end of that window. The estimated build date was 9/17 and it was actually built 9/21. I think it left San Diego area 9/24. Unfortunately it's a long way to Virginia, but it was worth the wait.

Absolutely, I have never understood why Toyota doesn't put a little more aggressive tire on the TRDs.

Richmond here. Hoping so! The only option I didn't/couldn't get was the jbl upgrade, it was
not available at the time and they had no idea when it would be for this mode. Did you opt for it?

No, I didn't get the Premium and Tech package primarily because I didn't want a moonroof. If the JBL and heated seats were available separately I would have got them.

Those look great SDTaco, huge improvement. Are those the stock size? Any thoughts on moving up one size to 265/70r17?

Well I just pulled the trigger on some Cooper Discoverer AT3's in 265/70r17 from Discount Tire Direct (Ebay). They are only 0.8" taller from the specs I could find online, so hopefully they fit with no problems. I'll post some pics when they are mounted.

If anyone else is looking for a good price, there is a coupon for $100 off 4 so the total was only $504 with no tax and free shipping, plus there is a $70 mail in rebate from Cooper which should just about cover the install costs. Hopefully I can sell the Firestones for close to that.

Nice! Post up some pics when you get them on.

Do we know who has tried the largest tire with no lift on this model?
