Sorry I take that back anything by Johnny Cash or Willie Nelson, they don't make country like that anymore now its all a bunch of pop/rock wanna be bullshit. I don't like pop music and I hate country pop.

Not much yet, got a pretty good sound system w/ my custom sub box. Plan on adding more lights & a tool box.
Anything older than sayyyyy early 80's is good, no wait, mid 70's. Waylon, Cash, Williams (Sr. & Jr.) Willie, Horton, Coe, Anderson, Daniels, Bama, the Hag, Silver Fox, Jones.
Garth was good for awhile, so was king G, but they got too uppity, George has been a snot for many years, tho he still puts out good stuff. Wouldn't go to a show. Tho I really like Jamey Johnson, he's another D.A.C. Zak has some great stuff!
I couldn't find my Valentine song for the lil woman on youtube - I fell for you like a turd from a tall horse by Chuck Wagon & the Wheels, check that Chit out!

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
Um I partially agree with this, but if you are hear to bash, just leave.

First there are quite a few artists across the board that can't play an instrument to save there lives. I watched Nashville Star, the good one on USA network, and that was some GOOOD country. Songwriters and good on the guitar, bango, steelie, whatever. But only like 2 of them ever made it anywhere. Hopefully some are writing or making something cause they were good. But they probably didn't have the "look" to sell. That is our fault as a society. Not gonna be many Mick Jaggers and Steven Tylers anymore. We are TOOOO obsessed with looks.

Second and third. Taylor Swift is a pretty face and all the teens love her. But she does write her songs. You may not agree, nor do I, with her being true country, but she does write. Or atleast is trying. I fully disagree with country being the biggest offenders of lacking in that department. American Idol type pop is the largest offender, They don't even sing there own songs sometimes!! LOL

And just so you know, WE don't pick whats on the radio as you suggested. I have absolutely no control over that, as my local station only has an hour a day of requests, and the phone is always busy.

It's to hard to narrow it down, but here are some of my favorite artists:

Montgomery Gentry (Eddie Montgomery lives about 40 minutes from us in Perryville, KY & recently opened up his own steak house here in Harrodsburg!)
    George Strait
    Dierks Bentley! (awesome concert)
    Toby Keith
    Sugarland

I've liked some of Randy Houser's songs too. Here is my favorite of his:

Yall need to check this one out. Glad to see a country singer with some balls. All the honky tonk boy bands were about to drive me crazy. Heres a breath of fresh air. My life word for word!

haha I hate about 90% of the new stuff. If you dig deep enough you can find people still around that know what country is. My all time favorites will always be Hank Sr and Jr. Hank 3...well I'm not sure what happened there. I'd rather get hit in the face with a baseball hat than hear him.

btw- you hank hill quote is awesome! Hate they cancelled the show!
