Limit of stocked brookies. I wish they wouldn't plant these things on top of what is arguably the healthiest native brookie population in the state. I do my part to eradicate the problem lol

No but if I was gonna go down that route (and just to be clear I didn't lol) it would be w a 22 mag. People don't pay much attention to gunshots around these parts lol. I can wait for the season...I'm taking the first week off from work lol

As far as the brookies go u guys in Idaho know how to deal with the non natives......isn't the daily limit there 50?

 

lol...its just fun to shoot stuff with a bow or cross bow... I dunno I typically go for different species of fish like pike and bass.

 

Ya they just made crossbows legal here for all deer seasons last fall. As much as I like my compound I may have to get one

I hear you on the bass and pike. We have great smally and musky fishing here but I spend all my time chasin the trout. It's definitely limiting my game lol

Burned some leather today, 8 bulls in the canyon were still packing. Gonna have to go back in a couple weeks

 

Fishing for bass and walleye today from the yak -- and a trout takes my big old crankbait! She tasted mighty good just the same.

Brown gold! What state you in? Most still packing around here saw mid-high 300s still packing today but we picked up a fresh set somewhere just shy of 300

 

I'm in eastern Washington, I've picked up 13 brownies so far. Pretty much on pace for this time of year. Having to back out of a lot of spots due to bulls still holding and not wanting to bump them.

 

Just got back from Florida. My Buddy Stoner and I shot an Osceola Turkey Double and we each took a hog. That Turkey completed Stoners Grand Slam after 21 years and 9 waiting for his Florida bird. I will be going to Nebraska next spring to finish my 1st slam. I cannot believe I turned 90K on my 2014 Tacoma on the way home. We turned 50K on the way up to Bear Camp in Canada last spring...

Long time lurker, first time posting so here's some photos from the last few years.


Afternoon shoot during the late goose season this year with a couple buddies. 3 man limit with one banded bird.


First hunt with my pup at 9 months age, 4 ducks and a pair of geese. Passed his first hunt test the next weekend. Running our first field trial at the end of this month, can't wait.


Big stack of birds from a nice snowy field hunt in my younger days.
