Quail hunting in AZ when I was surprised with this grey fox. Got a coyote the next morning too!

Got this 10 point last week during the controlled hunt here in Southern Ontario. We were pushing a ravine and I was dogging along the bottom and he stood up 10 yards in front of me, tried to go up the side to another member of my gang but couldn't get through the brush, came back down to the bottom and I dropped him. I've only been hunting for 5 years, shot 2 solid 9 point bucks three years ago but they don't come close to comparing to him. I was pretty pumped.

Two down, my dad and brother's deer. Not too bad for a couple of Unit 30 New Mexico Muleys. My dad's deer has split eye guards on both sides with some kickers coming off both sides. Repping my sockmonkey sticker!IMG_2740.jpg IMG_2753.jpg IMG_2755.jpg IMG_2757.jpg IMG_2758.jpg

I was wondering if anyone saw the "moon". A little hijinks at deer camp!

I think we shot the same deer. Haha. Got this one up here in NC a few weeks ago during muzzleloader. He needed another year or two, but he was injured. Somebody had gotten ahold of him with a shotgun. He had lead shot all inside of him.

 Haha. It was fresh. A little frustrating considering it was muzzleloader season.

He dropped so that was nice. The shot was a little more in the shoulder than I like, but it worked out. I've shot plenty of deer during rifle season, but this was my first muzzleloader kill.

Ive had 2 run on me...one doe I shot her straight through the heart and the bullet didnt expand and she ran till she had no more blood then dropped. The other I hit a doe a little high and at an angle...she ran down the hill and up the otherside about 100yds and died.

Pretty solid opening weekend of waterfowl season. Killed 11 honkers, which is a bit slow for us, but it'll pick up.
