I really need to hit the water. Haven't been since deer season started in September. We've been in a bad drought anyway and the small creeks I fish are SUUUUUPER low, but I haven't even been in the tailwater :(

Thanks. I hunt south of Pittsburgh in 2B, but am getting ready to move to Columbus, OH. I'll still come back here for opening day, though.

I have 2 grown daughters who have always been taught they can do anything they want. 1 of my greatest memories is sitting in a buddy stand with my oldest when she killed her first deer. I shoot archery competitively and have bowhunted for 30 years and never killed 1 that big with a bow so congrats to you

Thank you:D Took me a year to finally get one, but it was well worth the wait (thank you rut:rolleyes:) and now the money to get it mounted. I'm the only one in the family who bow hunts. Dad wasn't thrilled with the idea when I told him my new hobby a few years ago

So get him to bowhunt also. I've always found ladies to be better bowhunters because they tend to be more patient for a really good shot. It'll look great on the wall just make sure you pick a good taxidermist.

I have a better chance of convincing him to give up fishing  Just not his thing, but he got over it. I have more of a "where do I put it" issue since the only real space my room mate took up for his two mounts. His 13 and his funky 6 take priority :pout:

    Thank you :)

This is true, but apparently (according to all the peeps out here) "you can't skull mount something that nice for your first buck" so I caved and got it mounted. If I can't hang it at home, I'm sure my boss would let me hang it at work...maybe if I'm lucky ;)

That deer is definitely deserving of a shoulder mount.
