"I was walking in to my stand, completely not expecting to see a deer. Suddenly out of the corner of my eye I saw a deer break cover and bolt. I had only a few seconds to unshoulder my rifle before he was out of range because he was running at full speed..."

Still need to measure mine just to see. The unsplit fork will hurt a bit, but I'm curious now. I'll have to find a flex tape or string this weekend.

I don't like B&C for that reason. I like SCI. If it's there, count it.

It's all about gross. Nets are for fishing.

I already bought the tape to measure mine when it comes back from the taxidermist.

I only live about 1 1/2 hrs from the coast but still don't fish like I want to. OffShore fishing gets expensive fast.

surprisingly MD does have some big bucks...and a lot of deer, so odds are you'll run into them at some point. Stinks you didnt get to shoot it, but still neat you got to make a euro mount.

Finally got around to measuring my deer. SCI was 129". Not too shabby and leaves room for eventual improvement :D. My Bro-in-law messed up. He shot a once a lifetime buck (archery) way too early in his career. Gonna be hard to top it...

Headed out to a game farm last month with a couple friends. My pup's first time on live pheasants and he did well. Hoping to head to the farm again next month and maybe to the Peelee Island hunt in the fall.
