Still a good buck! Maybe try hanging some doe estrus around then take it down when you leave. How much longer is your season?

Until January 14 me and all of my buddy’s are thinking rut happened over one night the worst we have all had! I have tried everything making mock pawings using code blue estrus. I also have played the wind the whole season.

Oh yeah this year has been the toughest yet. But the only good thing I bet all my big boys will and have survived and be even bigger next year. I will be feeding my deer all this next year buck grub it’s amazing stuff.

Honestly, Id rather look at the big bucks on my trail cam then through a scope. Big healthy bucks arent super common around here plus its hard to make jerky and roasts from the antlers. I feel the same way about my trout. But Im more than happy killing a doe or two for meat though.

I could never trap, bobcats and other critters like that are just too cool. Pigs on the other hand, are another story.

First one I've seen around here. I believe the south has more than other parts of the US. Just another color phase. Both of these stunk to hide heaven!!!

Not flaming, just observing. Trapping is a needed tool in game management. It's also a lot of fun and not as easy as it looks. It's a dangerous idea to place limits based on emotional thoughts or ideals on one animal but not another. BC is facing this with the closing of grizzly hunting. It's only the beginning for them I'm afraid.
