After my dad passed 5 years ago it just so happened that his Winchester model 88 in .308 ended up some how in my gun cabinet...he he.
Any way I put a new scope on it and shot it yesterday for the 1st time in years.
Pretty happy on how it turned out. A little fine tuning and it'll be good to go w/me on a trip to Kansas in November!

These are from a trip I took to visit and hunt with an old Army buddy in Alabama. We were looking for pig and deer and got 3 pigs while I was there. He got 8 more within the next month and a half.

I have a couple of these that work decent. Moultrie is also a good intermediate priced game camera. Look for settings that you can change the resolution. I usually dont use the high resolution because it takes up more space on the card but get a 16MB card and you shouldnt have any problems. Use the energizer lithiums for best battery life.

Hang a camera that doesn't work. Put it where they will see it, but can't get to it.

Big bear weighed 557 gutted. That mount was around 2 grand. My smaller bear was 190 pounder, that was my graduation present from the Marine Corps and my father paid for it. Lucky for me my taxidermist is my dads cousin. He does amazing work and takes care of me on prices since I take him so much work hahaha
I have a coyote there now I shot in archery season that im gettin a full body mount on. I’m a sucker for nice taxidermy. The last couple years I’ve been doing euro mounts on the skulls for something different.

Ive never heard of anything that size or even close to that here. The bears around here that get shot are around 160-250 average for adults. The younger ones of course are around 100lbs.
