A few months late since I just found this thread. I was able to harvest my first deer and a coues at that with my bow this August at roughly 30m. He was about 70lb and can’t wait to get out January 1st for archery season here in AZ.

Thanks man I was hooked the moment I picked up a bow and the string slapped my forearm. Here’s to hoping for many more successful hunts. Glad I got the Coues out of the way so I can get after the bigger mule deer down here. :fingerscrossed:

I’m currently using the Hoyt Powermax all the way up and rage hypodermic NC at 100g those things are awesome. It opened nearly a 2 inch cavity and cut clean through 3 ribs. Lost the broad head because it was chipped but will use them until they discontinue or make something better. What about you?

I had no clue certain states didn’t allow them. Just goes to show I’ve got a lot of learning to do. Thank you for the insight. I’ve really got no baseline myself since this was my first harvest. But I’d imagine I’ll be hard pressed to find something better. Hoping to find a used hyperforce for a decent price. A buddy of mine has one and it shoots laser beams any time I use it.
