sorry i dont have a pic on this computer but last october i was able to snag a pretty good muley.... he is a 5x5 with 2 kickers with a 29" spread and he scored 170.

it was a general tag on 100% public land.....but you have to hike about 9 miles one way.... not fun draging that bad boy out of there

oh and i shot him at 695 yards:cool:

Nice buck and set man! My cousin is over in Missouri for Military and says he loves the whitetail hunting over there now.

Anywhere near Stratford, Sikorsky Airport? Or how about Milford.

Oh...I'm not stalking you, I built the little 9-hole exec. course on the beach near Sikorsky Airport. Also built a course in Meridan. Grandparents are from Milford, both deceased about 5 years ago. Grandpa was a cop in Stanley or Derby before WWII, then with the DEC on the Housatonic(sp?) River.

Haven't been back that way in quite a few years. I've never hunted there either, but that's quite a buck for a "citified" area!

Nowhere near Milford or Sikorsky. Norwich area, which is far east about 25 mins from Rhode Island. Eastern CT is very rural; my friends from New Haven area always said eastern CT was a totally different CT. No real "cities', just towns with some cows and the occasional factory. Oh and Foxwoods and MoSun thrown in the mix. And with all that land, its still hard to find a good wheeling spot.

Just got out of the water...lost a monster rainbow. A few casts later, caught this nice little smallmouth. Probably 2.5-3 lbs.

Made a float trip down the river yesterday with my girlfriend's brother. We only caught about 15 total in about 4 hours, but he hung into a 20" rainbow.

This guy was doing circles, gobbling and strutting at 70 yards. A few clucks later he was coming straight in and stopped within 15 yards for a clean neck shot. 8 inch beard, spurs broken off....
