Why does ground clearance matter if you aren't 4x4? Lol

Why does HP/torque matter if you arent 2WD?
Perhaps the guy loves every inch of his lift

Yea you're right.. All wheel drive sports cars definitely don't need horse power and torque...

I don't think anyone questioned whether he loves his lift. He stated that he bought a 2wd truck instead of a 4wd truck so that he could do a spindle lift instead of a drop bracket lift because he didn't want to sacrifice ground clearance. I simply asked why it matters when he doesn't have the traction to get through places where it makes a difference

    :notsure:

    I know, sarcasm is great.

He told you why, he wants a spindle lift lol.
Lifts dont mean that people are going to the mudpits or rock crawling with them.
Prerunners are sorta known for being desert beasts with 6" + lifts and no 4WD.

No he said he wanted a spindle lift so that he would have more ground clearance. Ground clearance is something you want for offroading.

I think you're confusing long travel trucks and pre runners with big lifts.

So ground clearance apparently doesn't matter for mid to high speed single track or desert? Just because I don't crawl doesn't mean I don't need ground clearance.

So why in the world would anybody LT a prerunner, since they don't have the traction to go anywhere they'd need the travel

Why would you think they don't make them anymore? Go to toyota.com and "build your own" and double cab long bed is an option. Everything is a long bed unless it's a dcsb. And if you want a trd offroad or a manual transmission they are only available in short bed
