1500 on the truck so far so it's no where near broken in yet. Last 2 tanks have been 20.8 and 21.7. Lowest since I got it was 19.5. That's with my average hilly KY commute, including downtown Cincinnati driving. I'm happy, it's a bit higher than the 17 I got in the F-150 and a bit lower than the 24-25 in the Escape.

Just did my second fill up. Mileage was 21.1 for first one, 20.1 for second one. I have the TRD OR Access Cab. Combo of City/ Rural driving. I expect it to be close to 21 consistently. It's doing everything I expected. Best Truck in Class and fits my needs perfectly. Glad I waited.

Damn... I get 17 when I'm laying into it during storms. Lots of city?

mostly city. I haven't done a long highway yet but the 10 miles here and there, I seem to still get around the same. my tank average is 17.6 right now.

I get like 16-17mpg mainly city and I drive really easy I hardly ever get the truck past 2500rpms and my MPG still sucks. I dont know how some are getting 19 and over and claim city. Must live in perfectly flat lands
I am coming from a 2012 Mustang GT that had a 5.0 v8 with over 400hp and 6speed and I was getting 17mpg city in that. I was really hoping this thing was gonna be in the 19-20mpg range but I guess not :(

I have a TRD DC LB OR 4x4. I'm glad some of you are getting great MPG. I commute 13 miles round trip to work and my mileage is very steady at 17.1 MPG (actual mpg by dividing my trip meter by the number of gallons bought). I did take one road trip from Columbus to Cincinnati and was getting 22 MPG according to the computer. I'm easy on the peddle! My tire pressure is 33. This truck has a serious drinking problem, I'm afraid it's a gasoholic!! That said, I love everything about this truck.

My first 300 miles, so far 17.4. Will my MPG improve or what? My MPG is a far cry from 21-24 like advertised. My driving is mostly City at 25-50 MPH...

Here's what I can tell you from my experience so far. If I hop in and drive 3 miles to the store, I will get 17 mpg because it's lots of stopping and starting and no long stretches of 40+ mph. I can drive the 20 miles to work and get 22-24 mpg. That commute is about half City type traffic and half 45-55mph stretches where it's super efficient. On a recent freeway trip from here to the airport, about 50 or 60 miles, I got my best ever - 26.5 mpg.

I need some long efficient stretches mixed in to get the 22-24, and luckily that represents my commute.

My tank average is around 21 lately.

How? I'm getting mid to high 14s on my manual transmission with only city driving. At what rpms do you switch gears? Below 1500? Hahaha

Just came back from a trip to Orlando, 95% highway driving, avg. 20.22 mpg for the tank. Was in cruise for most of it, and set at 70mph, with a few jumps to 75mph to pass people. I would steadily watch the tank average drop .1 mpg every few minutes (hard to keep track while driving), but found the "sweet spot" around 67/68 mph where it wouldn't drop or increase at all. The only time it did start to dive a bit was when I would go over an overpass and it would shift gears.

65mph seems to be the best spot where I noticed it would slowly increase .1mpg every few minutes. RPM's would hover around 1500.

    At 67/68 RPM's were 2000 consistently.

Truck doesn't want to upshift at speed. Dealer says that they have no fix. Last pic is the lay of the land .20160314_143537.jpg 20160314_142940.jpg 20160314_133956.jpg 20160314_140920.jpg

Averaged 14.9 mpg driving to work. This 900 miles in 12.5 hours. I was getting 18.5 mpg in my 2015 Taco with larger tires.

were you in cruise control mode?

I get better than advertised on the highway. People just drive to fast and then come on here to complain about it

some have stated that the truck gets stuck in 4th gear going up hills. To reset this, push it into S4 and then back into drive and it will upshift
