18 mpg......Have never seen the 23 mpg highway from the window sticker. Did have a 21.7 mpg fill up once while having a tail wind. Traveled between Dallas and Austin Tx. last week and averaged 19.2 on the way South to Austin and 14.3 on the way back to Dallas into the wind at 70-75 mph. Its a truck.... if I wanted great MPG'S id drive a small car.

That's not the point. It's advertised to get 23 highway and many aren't, even at reasonable speeds

Again, reasonable speed is 60 MPH or less and no wind, in the summer, with stock equipment. Those are the conditions used to evaluate it.

I consistently got 20+mpg at 65 in the '16 Tundra crewmax 4x4, 5.7 V8. One full tank was 21.4mpg, hand calculated. Got 21.5+mpg in the '15 Tacoma TRD Sport. Both exceeded the EPA estimate on road trips. To me reasonable is 65mph. Only on one trip, not even a full tank, have I reached 23mpg doing 65mph. Best full tank has also been 21.4mpg. Previous two trucks exceeded what they're supposed to get but my '17 hasn't had a tank reach what it is rated for. Perhaps a winter thing and will jump up 2mpg or so, I can only hope.

I find that if you really want to know what the fuel economy of a vehicle will be is to look at Fuelly.com

    I can't figure it out.

This tank of same gas as the last several I'm getting 24.5-25+ mpg at times on the interstate and more overall (23ish) in mixed driving.

I'm starting to think the quality of gas is varying....It should be 100% 91 octane but I'm sure it's from the lowest bidder....Weigels gas.

I guess I do have an issue then... I would be thrilled with that kind of mileage... Hopefully the dealer has some kind of idea what's wrong with my truck

I started tracking at 2k miles, and am now at 8900. Have averaged 17.3, mixed city driving. I get pretty similar on highway as well, because highway driving speed here is 75-80. Going 80+ drops me to <15 mpg, since the truck gets stuck in 4th gear. The highest mpg for a single fillup was 18.9, and lowest was 13.8.

During all this time, I had 265/70R17's (numbers above are adjusted to compensate for bigger tire size). I just put on 245/70R17's and have only done a half tank on those so far at 18.8 mpg, according to dash. Let's see if that will hold. At least that puts me somewhere near the 19-23 mpg they suggest.

At 22k miles now. Just hit my one year. Stock trd 4x4 sport.

On my 5.5 mile city commute to work I average 17 to 18mpg in the summer. Winter gas the best I can do is 13 mpg average. Can't even get close to 15.

I make regular trips to downtown Chicago from Milwaukee. About 91 miles and I can easily average 23 to 25 mpg even with traffic on the Kennedy. Sometimes I'll even average 28. I stay between 70 and 75 mph until I'm 20 miles of out of Chicago. Winter gas is about 20 to 21 average.

All stock 2012 Tacoma 4 door. Automatic, V6, stock wheels and tires, All highway driving, no added weight. Drove 349.6 miles, went to the gas station and put in 17.3 gallons. Was super surprised with I calculated mileage to be 20.2 mules to a gallon. Was also surprised that the rank capacity was 21 gallons. The fuel low light turned on at 315 miles
