I'm getting 15.6 mpg in city with a 2017 stock TRD Pro. I also drive like a grandma and i'm really light on acceleration, on the highway i'm getting 20 mpg at 75mph.

Fuck we get 18.5 in our 2016 4runner and it's a shitload more pleasing to drive (powertrain). For 1 or 2 mpg difference....NOT worth the gutless shift happy combo they have in this thing.

Dude, you totally wasted the potential of that pic. Should have been with the words "I found a way to get high mileage out of my Taco. 2 gallons of used McDonald's fryer oil in each tank. 65mpg every...fucking...time. It's awesome but all the dogs in the neighborhood chase the truck and gnaw on the tailpipe."

The absolute best I've had yet. Almost 4mpg over my daily average. Drove a mind numbingly slow 68 on two seperate 100 mi stretches.

After 6500 miles my average is 20.9mpg, worst tank 18.5, best tank 23.3 (which lost over 3000 feet in elevation with a tailwind half the way).

    Do you drive solely highway?
My commute is all highway but still get 17.5-18.
    Going 70-75 tho.

22.2mpg on a trip that included Tucson to Flagstaff which is largely uphill. My worst tank since May of last year.

Live at 4500' and and drive to work is 15 miles each way. I drive 70-80 on the freeway. I do not accelerate slow. Truck is stock. I love the way the truck drives nothing unexpected from a 6 speed with two overdrive gears. If I had all the problems some do I would have already traded it.

Installed the URD y pipe a couple weeks ago and have seen a nice MPG increase. Both pictures were taken after having taken the same trip route about a week apart. The 26 MPG was taken while averaging 74F outside temperature while the 26.2 MPG was taken with an average 79F. The fuel difference in the tank was about 45-50 pounds more fuel onboard for the 26 MPG so it seems that weight has a bigger factor on MPG than temperature. The trip was on I-95 in Florida from my condo on the ocean to my home which is more inland but slightly uphill. IMG_0243.jpg IMG_0247.jpg

You do realize that some of the people posting pics of the dash display with abnormally high mpg are getting the truck up to speed and taking a snapshot of it when it hasnt had to accelerate up to speed and is at an ideal cruising speed.

May as well put one on jackstands and idle it until you get it to read a mpg on the display. I called one on that BS earlier in this thread after he posted 26mpg. Looked back at his posting history and he was getting 18-20 like the rest of us.

And thats a bummer. I like to think of us as a community of peeps who are enthusiastic about the same thing. Unfortunately(especially on the intertubes) people have to make anything into a dick waving competition. I try to give useful info in here but it is tiring to see all the bad info. I'm fading in this thread. Need to post my tankfull mpgs and stop reading it.

No one wants to put in the effort , I tried this a while back but it must be too much work to fill out.Mine is over detailed , but the more info the better.

I also thought real info would be useful also.

Those pictures were taken at the end of the trip that I take weekly. All of the mods that I have made not only improve performance but also the efficiency. I also keep my tires at 36-37psi which helps some. You have a 4x4 which will never get this mileage but your 4x4 gives you other capabilities that I don't have.

Yeah I read that earlier and it is sad that you have go to those lengths to get people to post useful info. Reads like my yearly stockholder update. Fuelly is decent but all we really need is people to be considerate and honest and that is fading in these times.
Can you imagine if the window sticker claimed 30 mpg on this truck with an asterisk and at the bottom claimed "Downhill with tailwind in high gear at 40mph" People would lose their f'ing minds demanding Toyota be crucified for misleading info. But here we are.

I will not bring it up again ( all applaud ) fuelly gives no info about lifts , oversize tires etc, etc. etc. half the time it does not even tell the correct engine in the vehicle or if it is 4x4 2x4 , standard cab ... city or highway, 90 mph or 55 mph ... ................ yeak , fuelly is great !
