Thank you for that precise calculation. When my odometer reads: 62,137.1192 miles I'll be sure to look into the maintenance requirements at that time.

Did you work on the space shuttle?

Thank you for the edification. But this has not only gone way off topic it's become a confused convoluted set of far too many posts that began when one gentleman stated he was following a more stringent maintenance program than stated by his Toyota maintenance guide.

Since I lack such a guide anything I could have said AND ACTUALLY REPLIED was soley and only my personal opinion and I agreed with the first poster that I too plan to follow a more stringent maintenance program than must be stated in the maintenance booklet I don't have. It's my truck. My money. My desire to do otherwise more than Toyota obviously requires.

Since that time individuals who can't read or comprehend have posted ignorant and crude responses that were never meant for them.
My reply to that one gentleman on how we feel about maintenance is soley the personal plans we have. What everyone else does or what it states in the manual or what's the difference between kilometers or miles, old manuals with recommended maintenance schedules for twelve year old tacomas I don't care a bit about.

So will any who have been crude or ignorant of the original post and my simple reply kindly drop this developing thread thats gone far eskew of its original title and please, those who know only how to be haughty, blind, rude, insulting and obviously grossly ignorant go out and buy a Volkswagen Jetta

End of this out of control side show.

Yours. With best wishes for all

And you refuse to acknowledge you are wrong but blather on about facts. Your stubborn pride is getting you.

You have been very condescending whether you want to admit it or not.

Apparently the term bullshit really triggered you.

That response is insulting and ignorant. Why don't you keep your nose out of other individuals right to post a simple reply to a post you aren't aware of before you intervened with your non thread nonsense.

Grow up and get a life. Learn some respect and grammar.

This site is set up as a set of individual threads and you continue to go way off course.

As I said in my final post on this subject that you can't comprehend that's the end of this off thread zoo created by your incendiary remarks.

Learn to be respectful. Tolerant of other people's opinions especially when they don't concern you.

I remain faithful to this thread with no more responses to arrogant thick headed individuals who just can't seem to hold a civil tongue.

    Yours truly. Dannyblues

3 MPG is about $200-350 a year for your average driver.

I get 13 MPG. But I own and have owned my hoopty for years. I spend about 700 more a year on gas than if I drove a 21 MPG truck, which would eat that 700 in insurance cost alone, let alone actual monthly payment.

MPG is great, but don't think for a moment that trading in a truck over 3 MPG saves you a dime.

Where is the speed limit 75??? Here in the northeast it's 65 maximum. My best so far with 2016 TRD is 22.2 with 3,000 miles on the odometer last year. Almost all highway. Driven very conservatively. Not more than 65. No AC. Windows closed. I can get 20 mpg easily if I do more than 50% highway and I drive nice and easy with a slow steady throttle. What kills my mpg are the unavoidable hills coming home. Dannyblues

I'm old. Ok. I admit it. I used to just loosen the bolt and advance the distributor timing 3 degrees for more pep.

This flashing the ECU and now the transmission.... what is that???

Back in high school "Flashing" was running through the cafeteria butt naked! I suspect you aren't doing that to get better performance on your truck? Dannyblues

I think you can do far better than that with a four cylinder. Try it on highway only at or below 60 mph and a steady throttle. You'll see. Dannyblues

    Kansas... specifically I-135, 35, 335, and I-70.

And everyone does it too. If you're not running 80, someone's going to run you over.

I drive through South Dakota every year. Speed limit on I-90 is 80.
