They definitely learn your driving habits. Went off roading and did about a 150 mile round trip and it drives great!

This is the best I can do. First two pics are my daily drive to work, last pic is of a whole tank. I have 265/75/16 10 ply tires and a 3" cat back exhaust. Otherwise it's stock. Also I'd like to add before I put the exhaust on I was getting mid 17s20170715_035405.jpg 20170715_035432.jpg 20170716_035208.jpg

I never really track mpg since I seem to get such poor mileage. Usually averaging 14.5mpg. To my surprise I did pretty good this weekend.

    The specs:
295 Toyo RT's with full size spare
    3" lift
    Aluminum skids
    350lbs of passengers and equipment
6300ft to 9200ft (up and back down)
    91 octane fuel
Mobil 1 0w-20 (Advanced fuel economy)
    Speeds between 35-60mph

Taking all these variables into account I was able to get over 24mpg. I wasn't even trying to get every last mpg, I was far from that on my way up the mountain but still managed 18mpg so I thought I would see how I could do and I was actually very impressed.

This was on my way down the mountain which included a 15 mile detour and about 15 dirt miles that were low speed.
    IMG_20170716_145621.jpg

This was my overall for the day.

Mine read an average of 3.1g at the fuel light, pretty darn close to what the manual states.

After filling the tank it's pegged at 19.2, regardless of hill/grade ... so I assume it will not move for 40 to 50 miles.

Let me know if your experience is similar.

I have a suspicion that they might use the average reading from this sensor to activate the fuel light ... considering it is always sloshing around in there, and updates so quickly.

    Regarding SGII fuel level x-gauge:
Nice. How low did you go? What did your fuel gauge read?

I'll be making notes at 1/2, 1/4, and E... then Max, F, 3/4. Today I passed 1/2; it read 10.9 gallons. Unfortunately, I might be a week away from emptying the tank; but, I'll definitely report back.

Maybe I'll take a gas can with me. Has anyone run this V6 empty yet? Any problems re-starting?

I filled up at the 3.1. I've filled up many times at the 1/2 line, and it has taken 10.77-10.8 gallons each time (enough times that I committed it to memory) ... so the FLV gauge is at least accurate to that line. With the shape of the tank being odd, I would think 3/4 and 1/4 might be off a bit.

From my experience there is roughly 4 gallons between the lines on the analog gauge, but I have only fueled at 1/2, 1/4, warning light and the E lines. I have the fuel fills for all of that written down somewhere, but I can't seem to find it at the moment.

Update for my truck. Did a 500 mile road trip. I got 24.85 mpg. 80% highway (I87 upstate NY with cruise set at 69mph) and 20% country back roads.

17 AC 2.7 with auto. Truck now has 1000 miles on it.

Some light hypermiling I did last week. No drafting, taped seams, or overinflated tires, used regular 87 octane ethanol blend pump gas, etc. Just light on the throttle with mixed driving. Definitely couldn't do it for a full tank, though. I was sick of it after just this one trip by the time I got home. Normally I'm in the low 20's during the summer, 21-23 ish.

Just to :stirthepot: a little with my Ferd.

On the other hand, with this thing I seem to average around 12, because I like the noise the 4bbl makes. :anonymous:
