I went to Supreme Toyota of Hammond. I had already had the truck ordered at Price Leblanc, but Supreme gave me the "We want to steal your business price," and Price Leblanc said "We aren't even going to try and touch that."

    the Base MSRP: $38770,
    Installed Options: $ 1939
    Total MSRP: $40709

Offer: 38,385 + TTL (and they charge another 500 for some insurance autoguard bs).

basically I am paying MSRP but getting the predator tube steps, v6 tow pkg, and tonneau cover for free. That being said, I cant say they will make that offer again, but they were respectable, and seemed to want my business.

sxe4533, it is on order, I don't have it yet, hopefully sometime between mid october to early november. Chase has a 4X2 limited in the thread below:

It's like some dealers still don't know about the "internet," where people can go to get real information and educate themselves before car shopping. They still try the, "make shit up and be a fucking dick to sell cars" approach. Sorry guys, its the 21st century, that shit don't work anymore.

So true man... Like I get it, it's their job to make a buck and I respect it. They got a family to feed. That doesn't mean you be disresptful and talk down to a customer. That guy pissed me off so much, I seriously want to complain to Toyota corporate about him but I know it wouldn't do anything.

In WA State, Bellevue was the first to get a '16 Tacoma in. The MSRP for the OR shows the same as the Sport- $33,730..? I thought the OR was a little more. Does anyone know what the difference is supposed to be?

Also, my local Toyota dealer is selling them for $500 over invoice through the Costco pricing. Does anyone know of a better program? ?

$500 above Invoice is an excellent price if it includes the Doc fee. Especially with so many paying MSRP.

That's what I am getting. But I had another dealer initially actually price at invoice but I offered my local dealer the business for $500 above after I showed them the email from the first dealer, We will see when the truck gets in how good their signature is.

I think becasue the south is generally poor the dealers are more inclined to offer discounts..LOL as opposed to the NE where property taxes on a middle income home can be $12,000 a year. vs $700 here.

The invoice doesn't include the $900 delivery, $750 TDA, or the gas tax. Also wondering what people are looking at as a leasing price. This was also something I explored and was told $432/mo for 36 months with $25K residual. This also doesn't make sense, as it would make the $33,000 purchase price essentially $40K though the lease.. 15K over three years of payments + $25K residual owed at the end if I was to keep it... Anyone have insight. It's not adding up.

I visited a dealership today but made it known I was in no hurry to buy a truck. I test drove a 2016 SR5 DCLB 6cyl auto and talked numbers for a bit. They basically told me right now, with the demand, it doesn't make sense for them to budge much off MSRP. Offered me $500 off MSRP so I laughed, and told them I'd wait out the demand hype and the people who are going in paying MSRP because they have to have it NOW.

This was at Toyota of Orange in California (supposedly the 2nd busiest dealer in North America... which I want to believe based on their 'we don't need you to buy a car from us' attitude).

Yeah, take that and drive it like you stole it. looks like your invoice price covers the $900 delivery fee - check on TDA ... which BTW seems to be total BS right now since Toyota can not seem to update their damn website with the '16 info ... wtf does that advertising money buy?

Sorry I'm a newbie, what do you mean by the invoice including $900 delivery fee? Also, what is TDA?

I got quoted 37,700 total price. That's including all fees and taxes. No interest include yet because we all know that's different for everyone. For: double cab long bed 4x4 tow package. Texas

Taxes and fees will vary state to state so the $37,700 doesn't give us a very good idea as to what the actual price of the truck is. Do you know the price before taxes and stuff?

It's 6.25 here in Texas. So price was like 35,450 or so

Invoice would be base + options, add the pretty much federally mandated 900 delivery fee to that and you have what most ppl call invoice. some regions seem to have a TDA fee which is BS that Toyota makes them charge (or try to charge) for advertising

[feds apparently mandate that delivery is even across the board not that it be charged.]

TDA is a dealer fee for advertising for their business. It's not from Toyota. You tell them to charge everyone more instead of charging you a TDA fee.

I live near that dealer, so it's good to know they suck at making deals so I don't have to waste my time with them. I went there when I first started looking at Tacomas a few months ago and was trying to decide on new vs used. The sales guy was trying to convince me it was better to go new since used tacoma didn't go down in price much. A few minutes later he mentioned they don't carry many used vehicles, which explains why he didn't want to help me find a used one.

This was when I discovered the 2016s were coming out so I've been holding off until they came in.
