I'm going to have to see the tan color up close I just don't want metallic paint no more. I wish they had the midnight black metallic now that a good looking color I would get that one.

We get it already... You have employee discount. Every other post your mentioning it. Doesn't help anyone here when you post your prices cause you get $2500 off right? Cause of your employee discount? Not sure if was mentioned before #humblebrag

Anyone else without employee discount have any luck on getting close to invoice yet?

I had an offer on a OR DC short bed, with the premium/tech (non JBL), tow, mud guards, mats, for $500 over invoice on the phone last night. Went in to build it up today, and value my trade. Deal went south when they offered 3,000 less than my trade is worth. The offer on new truck stands, thinking if selling my truck privately now.

Always better to sell privately. Can probably make about 2-3k more.

Sell your truck privately. My dealer offered $26K for my 15...I sold it for $27900 Buyer got a great deal on a 2000 mile truck and I narrowed the spread between my 15 and 16 to $6000 where I wanted to be.

ANYTHING above your trade is good unless you have a tax issue and have to trade to cut the taxes. I am understanding a lot of people who pay Sales Tax get a credit for their trade making it harder to sell privately. Although I think Arizona does not charge sales tax on private sales and that is a GREAT thing for sellers and buyers on the private markets.

Wanted to trade for the tax issue, but if I can make it up privately, I'll do so.

Just ordered a BBP TRD 4x4 DCLB sport w/tow only (no other options) at 36.5 OTD. So roughly 33.450 + 699 Doc +935 DPH (southeast) +$1400 tax (4%) = 36.5.

    MSRP would have been 35890 +699 Doc +Tax = 36589*1.04 = 38052, so I saved about 1500 off had I paid MSRP

Not as good as some, but decent, I think.
He will be emailing my build date info later, but got everything signed and agreed upon w/$500 deposit. Also, I get to use the $750 grad (finish grad school in Dec) incentive on top of that 36.5, bringing it to 35,750 OTD.

There has been a sticky at the top of the 3rg gen forum with all of the invoice prices.

Been a "lurker" on this forum for quite some time. I drive a Gen one (2002) with 250k on it as my daily driver. I initially thought the 2015 was going to be the "redesign" and had planned on buying one of those. Well, when I found out that wasn't the case, I held out for the 2016. I ordered an OR/4x4/DBL cab (7544) super white today from a dealer in SC, got the OR/Sport Prem & Tech Pkg (non JBL/DC Only) and tow package, with nothing else. $36340 OTD. Price is in writing with $500 down. They wont run my CC until I get my complete VIN, I'm happy with it.

Anyway, this forum as been invaluable with my buying/research experience. I've received a lot of help from this site/forum. Especially with the price/place to go. I wont mention names as I don't know if they want their name mentioned.

I will say this though. If anybody is looking to buy in Columbia SC, good luck! I've been to three different dealers and they wont budge off MSRP. Hell, one wouldn't even give me a price until I "agreed" to buy from them. Needless to say, I walked out. However, there are places in SC that will accept your business and give you a fair deal. I like to buy local/put my money back into the community so to speak, but when they want to act like that, screw em.

Looking forward to my new truck. Been driving this one 13 years. Nope, didn't trade it...never would. Its been too good to me! It will be my hunting truck.

The new tacos are now available via truecar. Could use that for leverage. I got a truecar price of $35,975 for TRD off road 4x4 DCSB with tow package and prem tech pkg (w/o jbl). Which is roughly $1600 off msrp. Could use it for leverage against other dealers.
