ALSO-On the USAA pricing deal....search around a bit....it only gives you like the 3 nearest dealers. I'm moderately close to Atlanta. The first time I entered submitted the info, I got a price that was a couple hundred under MSRP. The next time, I used a different zip and got a price a couple hundred over invoice.

Just bought a truck, the costco discount was absolutely $0 2016 tacoma is excluded (this may be by region) and they gave me $500 off msrp as a boobie prize

I don't know how y'all are getting deals, the dealers around here don't care to discount at all.....they barely were willing to even give me $500 off....

I guess I could have gotten it from a dealer far away and tried to negotiate a discount but there's other potential hassles with delivery then

Very true. I did the same thing using th AMEX TrueCar site. I ran damn near every zip code in Southern California, with each one providing varying discounts, and it would only show 3 dealers for each zip. I only had to go 15 miles to get an offer roughly $1,400 below MSRP, when dealers in my city were not budging off of MSRP.

I asked about Costco, USAA, and NRA discounts and was told that none were being honored. That may be dealer specific, but the dealer I worked with said no way.

Before you roast me on the truck I picked out, please note that I'm working under a budget. Wife said I could get a truck if I stayed under 24k. So rather than buying another Kia, I opted for a stripped down taco. MSRP - $25,945.00. I'm paying - $24,214.
Curious to see what you think invoice is.

I'm thinking it's set by region we're in gulf states territory and they set distribution to our local dealers

bought from my local dealership pat lobb in mckinney, I had driven to the plano one which is designated for costco, that dealership looked like a dump, my dealership looks amazing, clean, up to date and environmentally friendly, so just gave them the business without complaining

Dealers were telling me the same thing, but I was still able to find two dealers in my area via the Costco site by running different zip codes. Don't listen to the dealers. Just because THEY won't deal, doesn't mean others won't. These same dealers were also telling me that other dealers were selling trucks above MSRP, yet I never received a quote above MSRP.

They all are either ignorant, or are flat out lying. Probably both.

Posted in another thread, but thought it was appropriate here too.

Ordered a 2016 DCSB TRD Sport 4x2 MGM from Toyota of Richardson.

Premium Tech Package w/ JBL (FP)
    Black Tube Step (R2)
    Tow Package (TO)

Originally scheduled to be build mid November and delivered sometime before 2016. Dealer ended up calling me and stating they had one coming in with the same specs but added in:

    Premium Carpet Mats (CF)
    Tonneau Cover (TC)

Didn't reeeeeally want the two above items, but I'd rather have the truck sooner, rather than later. Truck is supposed to be here this upcoming week!

$37k out the door, all dealer fees, taxes, etc. included. Not as low as I had wanted, but I'm coming from a beater Chevy HHR so I'll take it. Brother in law has a first gen and I've always been a fan.

You are very wise to stick to your budget. Stay away from getting in over your head.

    Too many to list...
Hey all, first post on the forum... Can't wait to get in a new Sport!

Put a $500 deposit (fully refundable if something should go wrong or I just don't like it upon arrival).

4x4 V6 Auto DCSB, tow pkg, tonneau, all weather matts, D-rings. Started at $34,200 - negotiated to $33,797. I'm in DC, so sales tax is a crappy 8% ($2,704), + $900 delivery, $599 processing (told by multiple it's Virginia standard), $300 tags. TOTAL of $38,300 out the door.

I asked about the Tech package, would be really nice to have given how much the truck is to begin with. Was offered the non-jbl tech pkg for $2,285.
He quoted me $36,082, + same fees as above and now $2,887 in tax (still 8%).
So, same config with tech is $40,768 out the door.

Thoughts? Not sure how much more i'll get out of them, seems like the best I'm getting in my area so far (Wash DC, northern VA area).

Special ordered a TRD DCSB 4x4 OR Manual Transmission with HH (premium/tech - no JBL), tow package and mud guards. Quoted $34,000 plus TTL. Is this a decent price? Not expecting it to arrive until either late December or early January. Who knows.
