Go to a different dealer. You will wait for a truck at the right price or you will buy it from them at 43k. You have the power to laugh in their face, wave your money around at them, and walk out.

What dealership in the DC area gave you this quote if you dont mine me asking? I live in the DC area and am trying to buy an OR DC LB and having a hard time getting a quote of a few hundred off MSRP after trying several dealers.

I had a little less than 12k difference between 14 TRD sport silver and 16 limited bbp optioned out. plus they threw in a car starter.

up in Dakota country. limited options with dealers so they tend to get more unless you want to go to Minneapolis. another offered 10.5 difference but had fewer options. I would have saved a few hundred overall by driving a half of a day. the second msrp was about 1300 less because of less options.

I think I got a really good deal on my 16 DCSB 4X4 limited. I must have caught the dealer at the perfect time.
Either that or they really screwed up !!

    MSRP

    BASE $37,820.00
    TONNEAU COVER $650.00
    TOW PKG. $650.00
    EXHAUST TIP $90.00
    MUD FLAPS $140.00
    NERF BARS $535.00
    BEDSIDE STEP $300.00
    DELIVERY $900.00

    TRUCK TOTAL $41,085.00

    TAXES $1,530.41
    TITLE $10.00
    TAGS $55.75
    BUSINESS TAX $77.74
    DEALER PROC. FEE $495.00

    TOTAL W/TTL $43,253.90

    I paid $39,001.09

To this actual total of $39,001.09 I added a 8 year 100-K warranty for $1,585.94.
My out the door total was $40,587.03

So I got roughly $4,252 off MSRP.

    Picked up my Taco today -- DCLB OR 4x4 white/gunmetal + tow + mudguards. I put a $500 deposit down on 27 January, build date 28 January, dealer swap arranged for delivery 2-7 March, delivered 7 March. Final price = Invoice + $200 + TDA ($739) + $50 doc + TTL = $37,976.

    I'm looking at:
2016 TRD off road 4x4 DCSB in magnetic gray
    Premium tech non/jbl
    tow package
    tonneau cover

    36000 with above options
    499 dealer fee
    applicable taxes @6% = 2189.94
    Before rebate= 38688.94
With Toyota financing military rebate -1000.00
    Final price = 37688.94

This is using the costco buyers program for a dealer in Alabama and the lady said I'm paying about 750 over invoice. Does this seem like a good deal? Most dealers in Florida and Alabama just quote me MSRP.

Your math is wrong. I got the truck at $36,833 which is $4252 off msrp. Of $41,085. To the $36,833 I added $2,168 for taxes, title etc...
Plus I got 8/100 warranty for an additional $1,585 for an out the door of $40,587.
If it's still foreign to you, do the math backwards.
$40,587 out the door (TTL & warranty)
    -$ 1,585 8/100 warranty
    -$ 1,530 taxes
    -$ 10 title
    -$ 55 tags
    -$ 77 business tax
    -$ 495 dealer fee
= $36,833 cost of truck with all options.

$36,833 is approx. $4,252 off of msrp.

From my previous post I made, the $39,001 price included taxes, tags, license and fees.

The number means nothing without telling us if it is 4x4, 2wd, are you trading anything in?

If 4x4 auto, no trade in, i say good deal.

People can get really good "deals" if they accept getting shafted on their trade-ins.

BC Canada - just got $1400 of mrsp. Which was pretty good, as other dealers were between $6-800 max and they would not budge, or throw anything in accessory wise.
Got the Trd sport, DC 4x4 with tech package

First time posting. Tacomaworld has been a great resource for getting my head around my first new car.

I was wondering to make of this offer i got from a dealer in Upstate NY

DCSB TRD OR 4x4 invoice $31249 MSRP $33730

Premium & Tech Package (no JBL) invoice $2,074 MSRP $2330
Towing Package invoice $579 MSRP $650
Tonneau Cover invoice $579 MSRP $650
CT All Weather Mats invoice $??? MSRP $218

    Delivery Processing and Handling $900

    Total MSRP $38478.00

I am not sure the invoice on the CT all weather mats and door sills, but with my best guess the invoice should be $35,521

The dealer gave me $2018 discount off of MSRP, thus the offer price was $36,460

With a document prep fee -$75.00
    License / title - $60
    Tire/Battery/VTR Fee -$12.50
    Other Fee- $10.00
    Sales Tax $2962.38
    Out The Door Price $39,579.88

Is this a good price? i think i can haggle him to include the D-Rings for no additional cost, but we will see.

Premium & Technology Package with JBL® Audio with options
    tow package
    exhaust tip
    Price $38,925

    cargo lights ( around $240)
leather seats added by dealer ($995)
remote start added by dealer ($240) price changed

Priced the truck at $40,415 MSRP that is with out the shipping fee after its built.

The numbers might have changed slightly due to more money added for taxes from the sheet I have posted.
Close to final price I left with after trade in and taxes
$ 23,173 could add the most $200 for more taxes.

I have not finished the financing process yet will be waiting until truck is delivered.
Just placed the order last week was told 8-12 weeks.

First post. Just ordered a red 2016 TRD OFF ROAD DOUBLE CAB 4X4 AUTO LB after much research here. I'm in upstate NY and sent out email requests to all dealers in a 90 mile radius. Found one who would go $293 below invoice. Only option I got was tow. Here's the detail:

TRD OR DC LB Auto - $31,450
    Towing Package - $579
    Destination - $900
    Sub Total - $33,000
    8% NY Sales Tax – $2,640
    Fees (DMV/Doc/Tire/Insp) – $98
    Out The Door - $35,738

At invoice, OTD would have been $36,194, and MSRP $38,999

Quoted 6-8 weeks before I get the truck, but won't know better until I get a build date.

Well, I just signed a deal below invoice from a dealer near Syracuse. Shoot them an email and see what they can do.
