Waited 6 weeks for the truck. It shows up... Now they are trying to change the number to 34413... A $2,674 difference!

I sense a lot of very angry discussions in my near future.

    No deposit/sales agreement, sadly.

All I have is a signed offer... Which has a bunch of vague "estimate only" type of small print.

Ouch. Sorry to say, if you don't buy it for that new price, someone else will.

    Next time do a contract/deposit. :(

CA? none. If you're lucky, 700 off MSRP.

    Yeah.

I'll see what I can do to get an other dealer, that offered me invoice pricing, to acquire it. Or to otherwise re-order.

Idk who is going to buy a Tacoma with a tech package and without floor mats though. They came back a few hundred over invoice, but are now adding in full vehicle sales tax before a lease... In which every payment is taxed. I think

I'll go somewhere else and then call Toyota corporate to bitch about this stealership. Not that it'll do any good, but it might make me feel better.

    yeah, go somewhere else!

Floormats are cheap tho. Dealer cost is like $20 bucks or something like that.

From what I understand, they're also back-ordered... So they might not be able to backfill them without going aftermarket.

Went looking again. SR5 4x4 DCSB MGM black amd caramel int. w/ parking sonar. Price on the truck $34,480 with the dealers added options.

I went after work right before they closed and didn't want to keep them. So, no pricing was discussed, just a test drive. Told them I needed to sell my truck first, which was going to be in couple days from them. They called three times the next day asking if I sold my truck. No, tomorrow, they said come in AFTER I sell it. No, I went back to discuss prices becuase they were being too pushy about me selling my truck before they worked out prices.

Went that day, before I sold my truck, they weren't happy. They said they could give me an accurate price without the down. I told them I had a buyer and also guaranteed price from Carmax. So I would have at least $14,000.

Price. Out came the "sales manager"
$34,480 price of the new truck
    $14,000 down
    CA Tax 8.25%
    2.99 APR
72 month plan payments would be $484 per month
    Total owed: $34,848
Meaning they were wanting me to pay a total of $48,848 for this Tacoma.

I told them that's $10,000 over what I should be paying. They argued and said no, you're not adding interest. 2.99 APR would not equal $10,000 over 72 months. They were trying to have APR at 14.xx while on paper telling me it's 2.99. After trying to explain and show them mathmatically they were $10,000 over they they said, "well, come back with more money. If you had more money you could buy the truck in cash and you would not be confused (laughs). Pay cash (laughs) and you could walk out with this vehicle. You can't? Then buy something you can (laughs)." I left.

Your truck OtD should be $37980 at the price quoted

    Minus the 14k down payment

    23980 financed

    Payment should be $364.24

Your interest rate they are offering is too high.

So if you trade in your 15 sr5 for a 2016 sr5 , the dealer should be giving you a refund ?

2016 Tacoma DCSB TRD Off Road
Hi All. I figured why not put my first post here since I think I got a decent deal. Dealer accepted my offer of $33,500 for the Black 2016 Tacoma DCSB TRD Off Road Auto w/ tow package, mud guards, wheel locks, spare lock, and all weather mats. MSRP was listed as $35,793. This was purchased from a CNY dealer at the very end of the last day of May. Don't know how much being the end of the month after a big holiday helped.

Long story short, I had a '12 Tundra and downsized to a 2-door '13 VW GTI to save on mileage (big mistake), found out we were having a baby and I panicked and traded the 2-door VW for a '11 Ford Taurus SHO (this thing was a beast and the 3.5 ecoboost is no joke). I missed having a truck and figured I should get back in a Toyota, and I'm hoping the Toyota quality and reliability will let me pass this truck down to my 1yo son when he starts driving.

You get an A for seeing the error in APR. I left that out, it's in now. The rate they were trying to charge was in the low 14.xx, but they had on paper 2.99.

Decided to shop for a 2016 Limited DC 4X2 and went on the internet to check prices. Found one at the local dealer so asked for an Internet quote. They came back with the window sticker ($36,065) plus options ($2,951) for a total of $39,016. The Internet price is $35,990 which is basically a free option package (Premium carpet package, polished stainless steel step tube, VIP sales follow-up(?), Vehicle protection package), most of which I didn't want anyway. It comes with the tonneau cover, tow package w/hitch, cargo bed light and charging and connectivity kit.

I'll be paying cash with with a 2012 SR5 DC 4X2 (paid for) with 58,000 miles as a trade, expecting about $21,000. I didn't mention trade or paying cash in my inquiry.

Any idea how much I may be able to knock off the internet price? Or is it good?
