Anyone with MGM plastidip their lower valence?

I've gone through countless threads but couldn't find a picture.

    Been thinking about plastidipping mine...

However I don't want to waste a can of plastidip and an afternoon if it looks the same in the end.

Every other color truck looks fantastic with the lower valence blacked out though. Especially combined with BHLM and satoshi/flush grillcraft.

I guess I should be the guinea pig if no-one has ey?

    Anyone?

    Does Plasti-Dip count as a mod ?
You and I both will be guinea pigs I suppose.

I'm going to the plasti-dip treatment on the badges, rear bumper, chrome grille, and perhaps the wheels too.

I've thought of doing the valance when I do the grille.

Does anyone have a close up of the Plasti-dip after a good amount of miles on it? Living in the North East its going to take some abuse. Curious as to how it holds up against chips and stuff. I do some logging roads every once and a while. Trying to cover all aspects before I jump in.

i used plastidip it was really easy and looks great. i looked into vynil but it costs way more and is harder to install....i did about 3 coats let dry used a razor blade to cut edges the whole process took about 2 hours with dry time and no sanding required just clean mask then paint vinyl 001.jpg

Prolly get flamed for this but, why do people do this, it looks like your trucks front teeth are knocked out. Body color looks so much better. Oh well, I don't get ugly-ass black rims either, hell, I still like chrome, maybe I'm just old....

Rustoleum spray on bedliner. I bought a piece of vinyl to do it, but put a crease in it about half way through. Ripped it off, masked the area and sprayed it.

Age has nothing to do with it. I'm 43. I like the black. I've had chrome on far too many machines to mention. Now it's time for something different.

I like the moustache (bug shield) on my tacoma too. My hood is free of old bug marks or rock chips because of it. Plasti dipping my valance here soon. $8 a can works for me.

What was the process? Did you sand and prime before spraying the Rustoleum?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I happen to think a completely STOCK OR package with the plastic chrome grille and bumper look like hell..... but maybe im just young.....

I too, agree that the bug deflector detracts from the overall appearance of a vehicle.... but again, to each their own. and if you like it, rock it.
