LOL I pegged you as a salesperson easily........Just reading your "talk track" I was right...

TrueCar sucks. It used to be good when they actually reveal true dealer cost which we know is less than invoice. Now they are just another lead generator for a dealer who pays them $299 on new and $399 on used leads/sales and many here said the dealer would not honor the "discount" indicated numbers.

I can assure you Gulf States Invoice and SET invoice are different. Gulf states add TDA. SET adds $800 worth of pack to the Monroney Sticker. Most dealers add mop and glo to their vehicles. That is not rare. They list that as "MSRP" for the ignorant.
My dealer is phenomenal and they add $1295 in Pack but I never paid it. That's for suckers. I don't blame them for adding it. Hell it's because many people will pay MSRP or over , others can get invoice deals or better, Honda dealers are worse with pack because they only have four models and no real options.

Sales guys are easy to out........ Have a nice day.

How much does your dealership pay for a Tacoma? Please don't lie to us and say you pay what the invoice line says

Umm yeah ok...I trust you....I trust you are the only car salesman in the world who is actually benefiting the buyer.UMM NOT....

People all over this forum are paying MSRP or slightly back because dealers are sticking to their prices and you could be their hero.....Right. Seems to me you could have sold at least 15 trucks at $500 below invoice on this very site!!!!

Stop baiting Tacobella. He is a good guy and rewrites his experience in every thread where it applies. He has probably written it 15 times now. He brings true information about his buying experience and he was one of the first to order and bought his only a couple weeks after they arrived at dealers. His experience is at one dealership. Your experience is at one dealership. Quit the pissing match.

By saying you are a car salesman, you automatically lose points on a forum like this. When I write that I'm a public school teacher, I lose points with some people on here.

You sir do not "get it"

I paid EXACTLY what I CHOSE to pay...AND tipped the sales guy who helped and the Internet Manager who closed the deal $100 each!! That's how I buy cars. I did not pay more or less than I WANTED to pay and THAT makes all the difference.

I am not a grinder. I have a few bucks. I had a deal At below Invoice pending and STILL bought at my local dealer for more. MY CHOICE.

    Why did I tip them?

Because they saved me at least that by delivering a truck they tinted and included all their pack at no cost. 1 year ding, 1 Year lost key, 3M protection on doors and handles, They could have delivered the truck as I originally asked with NO accessories or add ons. I saved far more than $200 on the tint job alone.

I probably doubled up what the salesguy made on my truck...

TrueCar IS BS...... I stand pat on that. They USED to be great until the dealers started whining about the race to the bottom in pricing and threatened them . The Dealer does not HAVE to accept the TC Certificate. I am reading they are not doing so in the forums as dealers are holding the line on prices all over the place. Seems to me you lost a LOT of opportunity right here to blow out your Tacomas at "$500 below invoice"

I'm guessing from this invoice that shows everything including DMV fees that I don't have to worry about the TDA fee.

Looks like no TDA fees. You paid over 1000 dollars for a clear bra?

That doesn't show anything! No vehicle , no terms, What are you buying?...I may be able to help with Invoice to see where you are at.

Interest rate seems awful high as well. Loan sheet should list YOUR rate/terms/total interest paid.

The term "Market Value" is ominous. Without the make year and model listed it does not show WHAT you are paying for. I would not accept that as a contract

Yea I got a different price after this first quote I was givin. I'm just trying to find out if they are going to expect me to pay a TDA fee once the truck is delivered. I spoke with my sales rep and he said he will throw together a more accurate invoice.

The clear bra is from the dealer and comes with a lifetime warranty. I will be driving this 700 miles home so I really don't want rock chips otw home. :/

Bringing this TDA topic back up- you will not see TDA on the Window sticker nor on any paperwork printing out only MSRP, you will only see it when the dealer prints their dealer invoice sheet. I was about to order a 7545 yesterday. The regional manager called and asked if I'd "buy today for $800 over invoice". Ok, sound s good, let's do it. I had previously walked after a $1000 off MSRP deal.

I came to the dealer prepared with a document listing the MSRP, invoice, and $800 over invoice. I also added tax, registration, inspection, doc fee. I was surprised with an OTD price $925 more than my calculations. I challenged the number pointing out that the $935 destination fee was already on there. The dealer couldn't explain it so I asked them to figure it out. They finally printed an invoice sheet and showed it to me. They printed it for a Tacoma they had in stock and also a Rav 4 just to compare. Didn't show up in the MSRP column, but showed up in the invoice column as "southeast Toyota admin fee". In the end, the $800 over invoice with TDA added ended up only being a couple hundred dollars less than the original offer the dealer made me.

I decided to walk, I have another dealer offer being written up for $500 over invoice. I'm interested to see if they will include the TDA fee in there as well. A third dealer I'm working with offered $200 over invoice and included the TDA, but required their $1295 addendum including the typical BS (scotchguard, dent warranty, etc).

I also worked a deal Sparks Toyota (using TacoBella's info). They would not match his deal on a 7545. They even had one in stock. That said they did offer the best deal I've seen to date ($1300 off MSRP, no doc fee, no addendum). They are a bit of a drive for me so I need to decide if the drive is worth the savings.
