I had a set of those on my 2002 xterra. Best tires I've ever had!

pretty quiet and smooth ride for a 10 ply tire. Looks great IMO. Incredible traction over stock crap tires...

Love them. Great on everything I've tried them on. Sand, rocks, dirt, mud, snow, 3' of water with mud under it.

I had the ATR's and liked them a lot but my dad has a set now and has the same complaints you do. Poor traction, will break free when on anything but dry pavement and loud on the highway. I've riden in his truck with him and his ATR's ride and handle MUCH differently than the set I had. Like you said, might have been a bad batch. Mine were great up to the point they had to be warrantied because of sidewall cracking...

How do you like this tire? Quiet?, Any balance issues, ie excess weights? They look good...

I still have the factory tires. Pros: they're paid for & have lots of tread left. Cons: they look like toy tires. I'm gonna' get larger tires when these wear down.

I love the tires, I had originally planned to get the A/T KO's but couldnt justify the price of them plus I don't have 4wd or do much off road aside from a dirt road or two.
These look more aggressive in person than they do in the pics, They have about the same noise as the stock Dunlops. No balance issues or excess weights. Have a nice smooth ride, I might try airing them down to 30psi from the 38psi the installer put in them to see how they do but overall I love the look and feel of them.

Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo's, 265/75-16. Not a bad tire on the highway, but way different than my old Michelin LTX MS2's. haven't tried them off road yet. Just got the new truck 2 weeks ago.

    Summer - BFG T/A KO 265/75/16 "E"
Great all around tire, but it wasn't a good winter tire for me. If I spent less time on dirt roads (and cliffs) I would have gone for a LTX MS to see if the rumors are true.

Winter - Blizzak W965 235/85/16 "E" (narrower for traction, same height)
Have used them on work trucks for years. Great winter traction and they are bullet proof. Got them at Costco in BC $785 installed, taxes in. Can't wait for winter.
