I have a tick/clack at idle; but I am not concerned. These motors are known to be noisy.

And w/ the 2.7L having a timing chain its a bit noisier.

I've got a tick that goes away with throttle and a rattle that I need to find, it gets more prominent with the rpm's but I think it may just be a heat shield that has come loose.

almost sounds like valves...but its a non interference motor...so idk. I wouldn't worry about it. Our 22re does that too.

Seems pretty consistent with the ticks that I have heard from other 2.7 engines. Interesting that it goes away when you apply the gas.

So i found oil coming out of the valve cover didnt feel like messing with it so posted on craigslist for 4000 and sold in about 7 hours lol i did tell him about the issue guess he knew how to fix it. he thinks leaky gaskets and the timing chain needs some work.
