I'd leave the lift in the sand and let the rental company deal with it before I paid that much for a rope though.

We used old rigging though...which would cost about the same. It was usually tagged out and retired for lifting though.

I don't indulge myself, but there are folks that pay an inordinate amount of $$$ for hemp that just goes up in smoke.

 

My friends have over 3k farming acres and have a massive pile of those ropes and straps.

It's all good OP, your experience with the event that unfolded for you made this thread a good read and painful at times. We had a similar experience over the weekend with our Sunday fuckery but the exact opposite helping a stuck Jeep out. It was a group effort and everyone got home safely and that's all it matters. I've never liked JLG, always preferred Genie but i never went up 125' either.
If a car hits that, the only thing getting bent are the people in the basket

 

if someone made it id buy it.

 

I'd wager the car would be pretty bent.

JLG makes a 150 and a 185 too. I don't know what those ones weigh but it would be substantial. I never got to use one of those monsters. If we needed to go that high it would be in a man basket with a crane.

 

You'd have an mpg of one after that frame swap.
