I get mine stuck all the time. At times, can't even get up the main driveway. Chains would help, but not going to spend 1000.00 on rear chains.

Even our Crosstrek gets a smackdown at times.

Either it did or it didn't. At this point what difference does it make? If it drives fine with no issues, what does it matter? If there is an issue, have it fixed. What's all the angst over?
I had an Avalanche that got T-boned with a severely bent frame. It still drove straight down the road with no issues. Drove it that way for several years before selling it. If it drives fine, just drive it. If it doesn't, fix it. What would be the point in taking it to a shop if you're not having an issue?

generally when i come here, my perogative is to see of others have had a similar thing happen to them in the event that im describing and how they went about it. I also try to search for stuff before asking as well. Maybe i shouldn't have included some details on the OP or my communication skills just aren't that good. but IMO it doesn't hurt to ask or discuss it (or does it?o_Oo_O)

i agree that just ignoring it is also good advice if from the outside "looks" straight and drives fine. im gonna wait til the weekend to look at it again since im in the daily and work is pretty busy.

So, not really snow related, but we had a Sunbelt Rentals guy get his pickup stuck in a field of dry/loose California farm dirt this summer. A couple other guys broke two yellow tow straps trying to get him out. Having nothing else on the worksite, some steel riggers and I used a pair of 7/8" wire rope slings. We took it slow, communicated, and made sure we didn't damage either vehicle. Point is: use what you have in the situation, and above all the spotter runs the show. I will say I bought a Rhino kinetic rope that night and have it accessible in the cab.

Oh, and the frame on the Sunbelt Tacoma was fine btw. The guy was super appreciative for the help.

I've used everything but a kinetic rope to pull all sorts of vehicles out. A kinetic rope is definitely best but as long as you pull with even tension (no yanking or taking a run at it) you'll be fine.* As long as you don't have shock and don't exceed the strap's rating (both weight and pull force) you shouldn't be breaking straps.

I used to need to pull 125' man-lifts (about 45,000lbs) out of the sand with Cat D12 on the regular. There's no kinetic rope big enough for that. We managed.

*Just a guy with anecdotal evidence. Don't be dumb. Use what you got but maybe buy a kinetic rope.
