@TacoBella back from the grave. I remember you from the early days. You were hyper active and were one of the first to even get a 3rd gen Tacoma back in fall 2015. Sounds like you are repeating that process with the Ranger. Gotta get that new new eh? Best of luck to ya although if you're willing to hop every 60k it's kind of whatever. Just about anything will suffice for 60k these days.

I am so sorry. You know I tend to bust guys balls over the lemon law crap but if any one is deserving of new trucks on Toyotas dime it's you. You mean to tell me you can only get 15.7 MILES PER HOUR out of your Tacoma!!?? You poor guy. Must take hours just to get to work!

Just kidding with you. I know you meant mpg.

OP, I enjoy my "Tac" and have had no problems period. Like others have said, test drive all options, all makes, all models. For what it's worth, the Tacoma is #1 for a reason.

A vehicles infotainment center is something a driver looks at and interacts with on a daily basis. I would say that is a pretty important factor when deciding on a vehicle. Now that point may not be important to you, but it doesn’t make it any less important for the next person.

I actually like the look of the Ridgeline over the ranger.

Makes a huge difference if you do 5,000 miles a year or 40,000 miles a year. I use mine a lot. People hate on entune but its still way better than a lot of others I've used.

Maybe someone has said this already, but the OP should check out the new ranger if the Tacoma doesn't do it for him.
Apparently its got a 10 speed AT.

I agree that if someone is going to buy a car solely for Carplay or Android Auto support (or decide not to), it would be silly. I also agree that entune is... not that bad. I like its responsiveness, it's only rebooted on me a small handful of times (unlike some horror stories I've read about here), and it uses HD radio data in smart ways to provide traffic and weather that I have to pay $$$$ for in "luxury" vehicles.

But I contend that all OEM navigation and media management solutions are inherently terrible compared to the apps that (more or less) everyone has gotten used to. If you don't use your phone for looking up locations, for playing music and managing your music library (or you're using a Startac phone) then this obviously doesn't apply to you.

But for me, I'm used to telling my phone to navigate to a certain location. I want use Google music on my phone and be able to browse my playlists through the vehicle screen instead of my phone (which is inherently less safe). Ever since I ditched my Garmin and started using my phone's map app as my main navigation interface, all OEM navigation interfaces instantly became outdated and sucky. So being able use the car's screen as a dumb terminal for my phone's capabilities is actually a huge win.

Test drive a 2nd gen. 4.0 isn't a world of difference but its something. Bit cheaper (not by much, thank the taco resale values) and customize to your own style.

People who don’t care about off-roading and just want a SUV with a bed. Not for me but I understand why people buy it.

A lot of people get a divorce because they saw a new piece they “needed to have!”, Then realize they messed up lol! I agree the Tacoma is not for everyone but it is a great reliable truck and does everything and more I need it to. A lot of people who hate the Tacoma bought the wrong truck doesn’t make it a bad vehicle means they didn’t test drive enough. I laugh when people complain about buying a truck and getting shitty mpg and it’s not as fast as there old STI. No shit it isn’t ! Lol

My GTI had great phone support and I STILL traded it for a Tacoma. But I'm crazy like that.
