And I do get i am bias of the Tacoma but I bought one and love it and am on a Tacoma forum! LOL! Had I of bought the f150 or zr2 that I was looking at I would be happy and proud of those too! I love my truck it’s blow away my expectations and before this truck I was never a Toyota guy always domestic only! But after falling in love with my truck I wouldn’t have it any other way. the Tacoma has taken me on many adventures in the year I have owned it and will take me on many more. Be proud of what you have and you will love it more. There is always going to be the next new shiny toy out there but I truly finally don’t feel like I need it I’m so content with my truck. You want a ranger and it’s the right truck for you all the best to you but when someone is coming to this forum trying to tell people that there New technology is as reliable and better than the Tacoma now u have my attention. All trucks now a days are pretty even but I’ll take Toyota which has for years and years build a reliable machine over the next new shiny toy any day of the week.

So since we're talking Ridgeline and I owned a first-gen for 13 years, I'll jump in here.

I loved my Ridgeline precisely for the reason @Tacoma6MT states -- it was my daily driver for long time and I wanted the best balance of drivability and versatility. Back when I bought it, I couldn't really afford to dick around with the truck too much or think about serious off-roading (because it was my only vehicle and it got me to work at a job I really wanted to keep).

Having said that, there is really no comparison to ride quality b/t unibody and body-on-frame. If you put your prejudices aside and actually take a ride in a Ridgeline, I guarantee you will be amazed. You might hate yourself, but you'll be amazed. I have no regrets about buying a Tacoma and I love my truck, but people also love their Ridgelines for very valid reasons and for all of its many quirks and valid knocks, the fact that it's unibody grants it some really big advantages in areas that no body-on-frame truck can (or should try to) match.

I might be odd but I seen a new 18/19 black ridgeline around town the other day and actually thought damn! That’s a nice looking truck!

No it is not. :) Everything is OK, and they made real improvements to the unibody structure so that they don't have those crazy sail-like bed sides any more (it turns out, that was a really really hard engineering problem... roofs provide a lot of support, who knew). But that front. EEEEERRRRWWWCCSCHCHCHCHCHHHH. No way. Looks like a Pilot and not in a good way.

I'd even debate this bit. I don't personally think messing around on the headunit is any safer than doing it directly on the phone. In fact I may even push the contrary. Depending on the task the phone will usually be much faster and more efficient thus reducing the time you are distracted from driving. I wouldn't be opposed to the headunit being completely void of interaction - no screen, no buttons. All I need is steering wheel controls (volume/seek track/phone) and to be able to stream audio from my phone to the speakers. Just about every modern smartphone blows every headunit out of the water and it's all redundant functionality. I'd rather just cut out the sub-optimal middle man entirely.

Carplay will not allow you to input text/scroll through music while your vehicle is in motion, like Entune. Yes, I agree that Carplay doesn't completely eliminate using the phone while driving. If anything, iOS and Android are really pushing people to use voice actions more and more, which is the safest route. I think Siri sucks compared to Android's voice recognition, but that's another discussion for a place far far away.

Very few buy them, I'm kinda surprised they haven't cancelled it.

Could be wrong but I think they sell more per month/quarter than the Ranger.

    I think he meant 60,001.
That's when the powertrain warranty ends.
    That's when it starts breaking.
