Hey everyone, just wanna drop in and say hi since i have been reading all over the forum for a month or so. I am overseas and I will be buying a new truck when i get home. I am strongly considering a 2010+, 4 dr, V6, 6 speed, TRD sport. I was on the fence with a few other trucks but i am really falling in love with these Tacomas. I have a wife and 1 kid and plan to have a second kid. I want to do some offroading and overland adventures and maybe use this to pull a trail truck someday. I really cant wait to get out and test drive some trucks and be a Tacoma owner. Great site here and a ton of useful information.

I am home from the deployment and I have spotted a 2010 Taco Long bed double cab 4x4. It has just under 50k miles its auto with power windows, locks, mirrors, back up camera, tow package, v6, i think the ad said 3.727 Axle Ratio. I was originally hooked on a manual trd sport. What would I be missing out on by not having that package? It has a hood scoop and fog lights as well. Looks like a great deal but i dont want to miss out on any features. this will be a daily driver and it will see some expedition wheeling and mild off roading.

Not 100% sure with 2nd gens. but if your thinking 4x might as well plunk down a few more $$$ & get full TRD package with all the goodies (locking diff. A-trac, etc;)
