That's expensive! I have a guy that does it for $50cdn per wheel cash.

I think i paid 70 a wheel the other month. if you are hurting for cash then just spray paint them. if you want them to hold up to more abuse PC them.

I would powder coat. Its a one time application. Powder coats chipping and cracking are more from poor care and cleaning.

Also why do people keep saying $400 is a set of new wheels? I found it hard to get a good set of aftermarket wheels for under $800.
The cheaper ones were lug centric wheels which means more money overall once you look at adapters and road force balancing.

 

Your statement is false. Powder coating wheels adds zero risk of faults in the metal. Powder is baked on when the wheel reaches 400° for only 10 min. That temperature does nothing negative to any wheel. Just about all factory wheels are now primed with powder coat.
