Rick, please don't give up so quick.

Chad has sold many of them with no problems, so there's got to be a fairly simple reason why yours will not fit. And, it does make the tailgate so much sturdier.

Just give it a couple of days before making a drastic decision. Cooler minds prevail.

Any chance that bed rail cap is not fully forward towards the cab?

I know brother let it go, stop dragging it out. It has been given away already and I have zero hard feelings against anybody especially the maker. Chad is the man and has always done right by me.

Good. Definitely gives it more heft. The tonneau seals up nice. It is definitely right up against the bolts for side rail caps when closed. Might be a little rubbing there. This could be due to the way I installed with gasket only on the top side. Overall I like it and would recommend.

I know some people where concerned with gaps. Hardly noticeable when installed.

And you have the Factory caps correct? Now add the extra width Chads bed rail caps provide. And viola that is why mine hit and wouldn't close. @KB Voodoo Chad since you are saying they are laser cut now this might be something you want to look into, as mine had dent marks in it from directly hitting the bolts. Just a thought brother. I noticed when the new cap went on it sat flush with the ends of the Tailgate which is why I think I was hitting the bolts. This is a picture from a while ago when you were first making them do you see how they sit a little back from the edge of the tailgate like the factory cap. Your new one's do not. I think the measurements got changed a little causing the issue I had. IMG_0186_zpscgkxai7u_270632a5ced98a2d5b2d9ab1f471e41e25f7b4f9.jpg

Also I couldn't get it to fit with the gasket material on top and front like in your pictures. Ended up removing and just having gasket material on top of the tailgate.

@jbcanes does your cap set back a bit from the edge of the tailgate or sit flush on the edge? Because it looks like it used to sit back a bit like the factory and now the new cut doesn't.

The caps are exactly as they were before. I have no idea why yours didn't work. Yours is the only one ever that didn't work (even though it would have been an incredibly easy fix to make it work).

It's designed to be very tight with the gasket in place. Sometimes it takes a rubber mallet to get it down in place. But after it's on, it's oh so sweet.
